About Karen
When Karen lived in Chicago, she worked for The Home Depot, where she had 7 years of experience with contract negotiations. Her job was in Purchasing, where she negotiated vendor terms, pricing, and product lines for power tools, hand tools, and lighting. Karen relocated to Las Vegas in 1998, and soon began working at The Howard Hughes Corporation. The Howard Hughes Corporation manages and develops properties in the Las Vegas area such as Summerlin, Hughes Center, and the Fashion Show Mall. Working at Howard Hughes showed Karen an exciting new view of Las Vegas, and she decided to utilize her skills in negotiations and communications and apply them to the real estate profession.
Karen passed her Nevada State Licensing Exam and National Licensing Exam in 2002. In her first year, she had over $1,000,000 in sales.
In 2004, Karen continued her Real Estate Education and earned the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) designation. This designation indicates that she has specialized training in representing buyers during a real estate transaction. Training includes identifying potential problems with a property and negotiating the best price on behalf of the buyer.
In 2005, Karen earned the Graduate, Realtor® Institute (GRI). This designation is awarded after completing 120 hours of additional classroom instruction and passing exams covering contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance, and risk reduction. Keeping herself educated with what Realtors should know for Buyers and Sellers.
In 2007, Karen received her Property Manager Permit. This Permit allows her to manage investments and rental properties for her clients, making Karen a full-service Realtor.
