Karen Everett

Karen is passionate about real estate! That's because it feels like a combination of being a detective and a travel agent! She loves digging up information and going places! Putting people and businesses together is so satisfying. She's been a Realtor since 2004, specializing in the islands in North Puget Sound, most especially Guemes Island, where she lives with her husband. Their teenage son is the 4th generation of Everetts to live on Guemes -- there is a real connection there. But she also works with sellers & buyers who want to expand their horizons all over Western Washington. She had a buyer who she helped to find that perfect horse property - and found it in Custer. Washington, which is practically on the Canadian border! It just goes to show she goes the extra mile for people. Or hundred miles, as it were. Formerly a writer/producer for KIRO-TV in Seattle (Eyewitness News, Northwest Home & Garden) and a marketing writer/producer for The Boeing Company specializing in exhibits for worldwide air shows, Karen has a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Washington. Another of her passions is cooking - she had a catering business in Guemes before becoming a Realtor. She applies that same passion to real estate, where she has successfully negotiated dozens upon dozens of deals -- and Realtor awards, including the 2008 Community Service Award. That award was given to recognize her efforts to spearhead the campaign to "Save The Mountain" on Guemes Island. An 80-acre view tract on the island's top where $2.5 million were successfully raised in 2008. She also volunteers for the Friends of the Forest in Anacortes.
