After more than 30 years in accounting—including 17 years as a Controller for a commercial
construction company-I began my second career in real estate in 2020. What started as a
retirement plan quickly became the most rewarding and enjoyable work, I’ve ever done-even
more than my college days working at a record store!
My background in accounting and construction management taught me the importance of
organization, communication, attention to detail, and staying calm under pressure. Those skills
now help me guide buyers and sellers through the real estate process with confidence and care.
I earned my real estate license while still working full-time and later transitioned into real estate
full time after retiring from the corporate world in 2022. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to
help individuals, families, military clients, first-time buyers, and seniors navigate important life
transitions through buying and selling homes across Hampton Roads.
To better serve my clients, I have earned several professional designations, including:
MRP – Military Relocation Professional; ABR – Accredited Buyer’s Representative; SRES – Seniors Real Estate Specialist
The SRES designation is especially meaningful to me because it allows me to guide seniors and
their families through important life transitions with compassion, patience, and planning.
I focus primarily on the Peninsula side of Hampton Roads—not just because I know the
neighborhoods inside and out, but because I like to be on time (and the bridge tunnel has a mind
of its own!). That said, I’m always willing to go where my clients need me.
One of the things my clients and sphere enjoy most is my quarterly newsletter, which always
includes one of my favorite recipes—complete with a photo of food I’ve actually cooked myself.
Community involvement has always been important to me. I’m proud to support organizations
such as Habitat for Humanity, PORT, United Way, Lionsbridge Soccer, and the local Foodbanks
whenever I can.
