About Karen

Sleepwalking through life, Karen had grown complacent. When she finally opened her eyes, she realized she wanted more for her life and family. Karen pushed herself outside of her comfort zone, took a chance and all the while learned a valuable lesson.

Karen sat down at her desk, and the silence felt larger than life. That first day was everything she had been working toward, and she knew just how to begin. Karen had to get my head right.

When Karen quit her career of 18 years at the transit agency to become a full-time REALTOR®, it was scary. And yet, she had no choice. Since she first got her license in 2016, real estate swallowed her whole. It was all she could think about - Karen squeezed in every showing she could, and while she was still physically at her desk, Karen had mentally left the building.

So, in 2018, I followed her passion and decided if she wanted to be successful, she had to start with herself. She knows from experience that no one can defeat her like she can defeat herself. Karen immersed herself in meditation, prayer, coaching, and more as she embraced her business.

Starting a new career and leaving behind the security Karen had been intimidating, but she had been on autopilot for too long. There were a couple of times in her life that she woke up and took back control. The first was in the year 2000, when she was 24 years old. Karen had gone through several difficult years and finally found the support she needed. For 10 years, she worked on herself, stayed focused, and her life came together.

Karen met her husband, Craig, had a nice home, her children, and a good life. she became comfortable and lost sight of the very focus that got her there.

In 2012 she opened her eyes again and saw that she had even more work to do than before, but she was also more determined than ever. Karen got the support she needed and dove into her “WHY.” She wanted to understand the motivations behind everything she did in order to empower herself and the decisions she made from that moment forward. Ultimately, it was the path that led her to real estate.

While Karen had a steady job, with the clearing fog she became preoccupied with what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. The 9-5 lifestyle of working for someone else on their terms was not how she wanted to spend the next decade and beyond. When a friend recommended real estate in 2016, She went for it.

Karen decided to get out of her present past and into my present future. With 100% focus, things quickly fell into place, and in 2020 she was able to begin working on a lifelong dream of her. She founded the Tri County Love Center, a nonprofit that provides transitional housing and rehabilitation for women struggling with substance abuse. She has always wanted to give back, and once she embraced herself - what she is capable of and where she is heading - Karen found the strength and means to do just that.

Through her journey, Karen realized that change does not happen on the outside. Whether circumstances change or not, real change starts and ends within us. Once she admitted that to herself and got to work, everything came into place.

When Karen is not working, she enjoys playing golf, bowling, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite part of being a REALTOR® is delivering the news to her clients that they have accomplished their real estate dreams.

Whether you are buying or selling a home, there is something you are looking to achieve. Karen always begins by getting to know her clients and understanding their “WHY.” Solutions come in all shapes and sizes, so by understanding what you hope to accomplish, she can help you do just that. She keeps an open line of communication with her clients, updating you every step of the way.
