About Karen

Karen believes that being a good Realtor means being an active member of the community she serves. Getting her real estate license in 2012 was a natural progression for her, following decades of property investing - owning rental properties, and following a keen interest in architecture and design. She now serves customers across the Gulf Coast, really listening, understanding, communicating, and challenging herself to be the best she can be each and every day. She's known for her commitment, integrity, and for exceptional level of customer care. Karen is originally from Brooklyn, NY. Before a career in real estate, she was something of a “corporate nomad”, living in many cities from Dallas to Los Angeles and Philadelphia, to name a few, before finding her home in Sarasota. (Consequently, she always has a team in some playoff!) Her experience included working with AT&T and MasterCard among others. Karen has a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the University of Miami. Beyond being recognized with awards in real estate, she's received numerous designations including Green, AHWD, CIPS, RENE, RSPS, MRP, SRS - which, underneath all those letters, means she's got you covered no matter the situation. Outside of real estate, she enjoys reading and cooking and loves walking her rescue dog, Jazzy, to Little Sarasota Bay.

Karen is a fantastic realtor! She has a thorough knowledge of the Sarasota area and housing market, and helped us select the right property in a great location. She was also invaluable when it came to making an offer; we literally would have paid $25k more if it hadn’t been for her excellent negotiating skills. She was there every step of the way making the process smooth for us, including being present for inspections and following up with the seller’s realtor to ensure that things were fixed before we closed. Karen is worth every penny of her fee, and we wouldn’t hesitate to use her again. (**As buyers, even if we had to pay her fee directly we still would have ended up ahead simply because of the money she saved us on the purchase price.)
