Karen Valdez

Karen is a native of Colorado, growing up in Littleton, going to college at CU - Boulder, and has continued to live in Denver proper for many years. Karen married Tom Valdez when she thought she would be the spinster of the year 2000 and beyond and is thrilled to have found a perfect match. He has three grown children, and they have a black and white cat named Stache. Karen has been a world traveler, first in the international group Up with People in 1978 and again as a flight attendant for both Frontier Airlines, and United Airlines. The airline industry changed dramatically, and she had an injury that prohibited her from flying anymore, so she found her second career. The enjoyment she gets when working with buyers and especially with the first-time buyers is thrilling. They are the kids she never had so they all have a special place in her heart and mind. The staging and primping of the seller's homes is so rewarding for her, she enjoys making the home sparkle for the prospective buyers to come in and want to buy! Karen works diligently when matching her clients and their needs so that she can be clear as to what they really want from their real estate experiences. She loves fashion and has worked at Nordstrom Cherry Creek as a personal stylist and a lingerie specialist, loving her work with the breast cancer survivors in their prosthesis program. Karen’s motto is never take more than you give, and she continues to contribute in her community in many areas. She continues to be active in the Junior League of Denver with the Sustainer Council. Karen has been on the Up with People Gala host committee for 3 years, her UWP cast representative, a Member of the International Alumni Association of UWP and served on their board for 7 years, and Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Karen’s partners at Coldwell Banker are her sorority sisters- what a treat to share their time, business, and fun together.
