Karen’s initial foray into real estate was as an investor; buying single family properties, overseeing cosmetic remodeling, and landscaping work and selling those houses at a profit. She then took the opportunity to become a licensed mortgage consultant, learning the ropes and working with a wide variety of clients, for approximately two years. In 2012, she made a career move from the mortgage industry to Real Estate sales, a synergistic blend of the previous skills she developed in her career in private banking.
Her goal is to shepherd you through the real estate process, ensuring you are confident in your informed and intelligent decisions, and are pleased with the outcome of your real estate transaction for years to come. She offers unparalleled personal service, candid advice, extensive market knowledge, negotiating skills, and attention to the myriad details that exist during a purchase or sale. The keys to her success are a strong work ethic, systematic process, clear communication, and willingness to embrace new technologies and best practices as they emerge over time.
Karen works with buyers and sellers and caters to those relocating to the area or purchasing their first, second, and sometimes third home. Having moved here in 2008, without knowing a soul, she has experienced some of the concerns out-of-area buyers may feel, as well as the doubts that can develop while selling a house in both hot and cold markets.
Her passion for this business, and the very real desire to help her clients make their next move, launched Karen into the ranks of Asheville's top-producing real estate agents by 2015. Her business is now based on more than 80% repeat business or referrals from satisfied clients.
