About Kate

Kate grew up in the greater Seattle area and earned her bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in business management from Washington State University (go Cougs!). Prior to starting her real estate career, her professional background included working as a TV news producer, and she also worked in human resources and operations management. She also was the owner/operator or a local floral design studio for 13 years, where she had the privilege of working with hundreds of local couples designing their wedding flowers. While her professional background is diverse, the common thread has always been working with people, which is something she truly loves. After a lifelong interest in all aspects of real estate, she got her license to practice real estate in 2017. She is currently based out of John L. Scott’s Bellingham office, and often helps clients in Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, Everson, Blaine, Burlington, Sedro Woolley, and Mount Vernon.

Kate works with a range of clients, including first-time home buyers, people looking to scale up or downsize and those relocating to or from the local area. She also is personally involved in investment properties and has several clients who are working on building their investment portfolios. Another area she is knowledgeable in is lakefront properties, as she lives on Lake Samish and knows firsthand what is involved in owning a property on a lake.

Her hobbies include reading, cooking & baking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She also like spending time outdoors – be it walking, hiking, gardening or just relaxing on a sunny day. Another passion of hers is donating her time and money to causes and local organizations that are important to her, including the Seattle Children’s Hospital, Lydia Place, and the Dave Nelson Memorial Foundation.
