My husband and I used Kate to sell our home in Babylon, as well as assist us in finding our new home. Within days of listing our Babylon home we held our first and ONLY open house. During the open house, we received an offer and accepted it! Kate ensured the potential buyers were a great fit and walked us through the entire process. It was seamless and without stress! When looking for a new home, we struggled to find exactly what we were looking for. We toured many homes but could not find the perfect fit. I was feeling the heat as we were already in contract on our Babylon home. Kate was patient with us and told us to trust to the process. And boy, was she right! Kate has been an absolute pleasure to work with! We started looking to purchase a home in December of 2021 in the Long Island area. This was the time when the housing market was booming and it was near impossible to get an offer accepted. We were working with a Redfin agent at the time and unfortunately after months of looking we were unable to find a home for us due to multiple reasons like not being able to get an appointment to see a home, an offer not being accepted, and many other issues. After we finished with Redfin, we were looking online for additional homes and messaged Kate around 8 PM one evening. She messaged us back immediately and was able to get us appointments on multiple homes for the next morning (something that was impossible for us with Redfin). We worked with Kate and she was able to get two of our offers accepted! She was very organized and on top of her work which allowed us to get accepted at asking price rather than having to go significantly over. The house I currently live in had multiple offers and some even better than ours but our offer was accepting because of Kate; because how organized and how well she presented our offer. Unbelievable. The closing process was extremely smooth and we were all moved in before we knew it! Fast forward a few months, we put our old home up for sale with a family friend who worked for Keller Williams Realty. This turned out to be a huge headache as the home listing was very poor with pictures taken on an iphone, he did not show the house properly and basically kept us in the dark throughout the entire process. The house sat empty and unsold for 3 months with no real offers. We immediately turned to Kate after this and she marketed the home so well. Great professional photos, a storybook to go along with the home and much more. She was extremely transparent throughout the entire process and made sure we knew everything. Within 1 week she had us multiple offers above asking. We accepted and closed shortly after. Overall, working with Kate was such a smooth process, she's very professional and always has her clients interest first. Highly recommend her for either buying or selling a home. We do not have enough amazing things to say about her and even if the commission is higher TRUST me – sign with her!! The amount of headache and trouble she would have saved us was priceless and I honestly regret not signing with her right off the bat to sell our old property! Not only do we have a great agent for the future but we gained a true friend and I honestly would not even think twice before recommending her to family and friends (I DO!). FYI, I am convinced she never takes time off, Kate was reachable day and night, weekends, holidays whatever we needed she took care of.

I would have never thought 3 years ago that my real estate agent would become one of my best friends. We purchased our first home with Kate almost 3 years ago. Everyone we know couldn’t believe how quickly the process went. In less then 30 days we were in our new home. Shortly after my parents chose to work with Kate again when we sold our family home. It wasn’t an easy sale as we were extremely attached to that house but Kate once again made the process seamless. So when we realized we needed more space 6 months back and were preparing to sell our home it was a no brainer that we would be working with Kate. We received top dollar for our home and made such a profit that we were able to afford what we never thought was imaginable. The tough part came when we found our dream home. In a highly competitive market the odds were stacked against us. We should have known better since Kate was our agent. Although we put a strong offer in and were ideal buyers at the very end someone else came in stronger. It was because of Kates skillset and passion that the sellers chose to go with us even though a better offer was on the table. I have never been more grateful in my entire life. A couple of days ago we got to celebrate Halloween with our 3 year old. It the perfect day! We love our home more than I could've ever expected and love Kate even more. First I would like say Thanks to Kate for helping me and my family to get our first home. From the first time I saw the home that I feel in love with on Zillow and put in a inquiry about viewing the home Kate responded inquire so fast not only did she text me to say hello and acknowledged that she got my request, but she even called to schedule an appointment and to ask me some basic questions. After extensive research for the perfect realtor that would help us with our home search, we came across Kate from Douglas Elliman. Based on her reviews and on our first time meeting with her, we were highly impressed with her credentials, professionalism and all the resources she provided in order to make our home search easier. We felt confident after then that Kate was the perfect person and we knew we couldn't have picked a better realtor. We knew Kate was a very genuine person and she truly surpassed our expectations!

Kate was always prompt to return our phone calls and emails (which were many) and always made it possible to show us homes within a quick time frame. One time she wasn't available to show homes we met with Lina who is just as amazing and helpful. We really appreciated that they worked together as a team so we didn't waste any time or miss out on any homes. Kate always answered our questions and took her time explaining anything we didn't know or weren't sure of. And when we weren't physically looking at home she set us up with a great online account on Collab that helped us filter potential homes. This helped us stay updated everyday with new homes listed that fit our criteria and kept us directly communicated with her about them. It worked great with our busy schedules and assured us that we weren't missing out on any potential homes. Never have I heard of all the resources and technology that Kate used when compared from other friends and family who recently bought a home. Kate always kept in mind what we were exactly looking for and never made us feel pressured or rushed into buying a home. Kate also provided us with a great mortgage broker who also was just as amazing, prompt, and professional. We had a few pre-approvals in the past and no one compared to Nancy! She comes highly recommended as well!

Once we found "the one" and we were in contract we had a few bumps during the process (due to the sellers side), but Kate always kept in close communication with us and even served as the middle person between our lawyer and the sellers lawyer in order to get things accomplished. Kate always made sure we were making the best decision and she always had our best interest in mind at all times.

Kate works very hard and literally works 24-7 at all times of the day, and despite that she was always willing and available for us during this process! She also had us in close contact when needed with Lina and it felt great to know we had two amazing realtors by our side during this process. Kate and Lina make a great team and their personalities, work ethic, dedication, and professionalism match and work well together. We couldn't have done it without them! At times when we thought it wouldn't happen or it wasn't possible, in the end we got a beautiful home in the exact location and with our exact criteria.

I hired Kate to sell my home in Huntington - I couldn’t have asked for a smoother and more seamless transaction from start to finish! While reviewing the listings that I received from Kate early Sunday (just after 12am), a new listing caught my eye. I liked it so much that I immediately e-mailed Kate to try to set up a viewing ASAP. By 2pm that Sunday afternoon, I was viewing the property, and by 4pm the seller and I had agreed on a price. After the death of my mom, I had finally made the decision to sell my home. I had spoken with at least 3 or 4 other realtors before meeting her. Spoke with some from century 21 and Dougless Elliman and as cliché as it sounds— they just didn’t scream “this is my realtor!” But after getting a referral from someone at work, who bought through her, I decided to give her a shot. I was scared, sad, going through grief and just riddled with stress about my situation and the day I spoke with her she was full force and explained everything to me, and told me the steps to getting my house sold. I got such a comfort speaking with kate and since I worked nonstop at the time she was always available to speak or text which was something that made her stand out from the 4 other realtors I spoke with. She was someone I could express my concerns and thoughts to regarding the house, and she made the job as convenient as she could. She was the first realtor I could ask a question and BOOM she had the answer or knew someone who did if she herself didn’t, and she explained things exceptionally well where someone who isn’t familiar with selling or buying could understand. We are first time home buyers, and had no idea where to start. Kate met with us early in our home buying process, and not only was she our realtor, she was able to get us in touch with a great loan officer/lender as well. Kate advised us to get working with him first and then we'd go house shopping. We were able to be pre approved for our mortgage, and in this crazy seller's market, this gave us an advantage over other people who were in the market. Kate was fast to respond to questions, and also walked us through all processes involved in home buying. We looked at multiple houses, and while supportive of all, she was able to supply us with her opinions on properties and what we might want to look for. We missed a few homes we liked due to timing, with other buyers beating us out with offers. This was a bit discouraging. Kate is the only real estate agent who actually listens to her clients. Most agents try to get their clients into a house that they "think" their client wants. Kate will work for you, not for herself. She will find you exactly what you want. Lighting fast responses on all mediums and a pro at the entire process. I would highley recommend working with Team Lina (Lina & Kate). I would consider myself to be a very demanding client, yet they were able to meet every need. They held multiple showings and made themselves available when I could not be. They negotiated through several offers and were able to get me the best deal on both the sale of my old home and purchase of my new one. I have been working with Lina's associate Kate Roesner for about a year now. Kate started helping me with my home search for my first home back in May of last year. We originally started our search with short sales and for closures because I wanted to buy a place and fix it up as an investment in addition to it being my home. We searched and visited dozens of properties and found one over the summer. It was a short sale and between when we put in the offer and when the selling bank finally came back to us it took from early June until late August. It was super frustrating and that was even with Kate holding my hand through the process and helping me negotiate. After a few months of waiting, the deal fell through. The bank wouldn't accept the offer of what the seller was asking for which we offered. They wanted significantly more than we were willing to spend since it was a full gut job of a house. The next house we found after a few weeks more of looking wad a forclosure that required a 203k loan to purchase. Kate helped explain it to me and provided some recommendations on who I could speak with about 203k since my bank didn't offer those types of loans. We put in an offer and went into contract in September. Months of back and forth with the banks and contractors and HUD consultant went by and we finally were scheduled to close on January 15th. Well on the 13th the seller bank realized their HUD appraisal was out of date and they needed a new one. They got the New appraisal which took them 2 weeks and came back to tell me that they would not accept the offer which was agreed upon in contract and what the loan was approved for. They wanted nearly 50k more than originally agreed. So we walked away. Kate suggested that we take a step outside of our box and look at homes a little bit further east because we could likely find more house for our money. She took me around and within a day she showed me a house that I fell in love with. I put an offer in and with her help it is now my first Home. I only wish I had listened to Kates advice earlier on in the process to open my horizons up to see what else is out there. Kates professionalism and diligence have made me a client for life. If I ever want to leave the house we jus bought. She was so kind and knowledgeable. Kates expertise really shows through and her constant positive attitude even when I was getting frustrated really helped me get through it. I would recommend Kate and Lina for any real estate deal in future. And I would also recommend that unless you are someone who really enjoys pain and suffering, avoid short sales and bank owned houses. Kate is Great. Thank you so much Kate. :)

Katharine is EXCELLENT!!! She works with your schedule and she is well organized, professional and personable! We gave her a list of homes we wanted to see so to save time she mapped it out and we were able to see 5 houses in one evening! She is also available at moments notice. I emailed her Saturday morning to find out if my husband and I could see three houses later that evening. She set it up right away and one of those homes ended up being the home we purchased which had just gone on the market. The next day was Father's Day but she was able to reach the seller and get him to accept the offer!
