Kate has been working at Block Island Realty as an agent since 1997, and became owner and principle broker in 2006. Coming to the island her entire life – Kate’s first ferry ride was at six months old. Kate and her husband Shea were lured by the breathtaking natural beauty, active lifestyle and the close knit community, and moved to the island permanently in 1996. They bought land, built a home and began to raise a family. They have two children, Julia and Caleb and as a family,enjoy all things water related on the island, boating, surfing, fishing, and the glorious beaches.

Kate has served on the Town of New Shoreham Zoning Board since 1999, and is currently vice chair. She is actively involved with the Nature Conservancy's Block Island chapter and is a former director of the Block Island Club and President of the Block Island Early Learning Center.
