About Katherine

Katey Bean is the CEO, founder, and guiding light of Katey Bean & Company. Katey has been a licensed REALTOR since 2005. She completed the esteemed Graduate of REALTOR Institute degree during her first year in real estate, granting her national recognition for advanced training in the field of real estate.

Katey first began her career in mortgage financing where her work ethic, ambition, and enterprising spirit further pushed her to pursue new ventures and help more people. While originating mortgages Katey co-founded a renovation company investing in vintage properties throughout the Twin Cities. As the lead agent in this role, she identified investments, purchased properties, managed multiple projects, and marketed and sold luxury products. She currently owns residential and commercial investment properties around the Twin Cities.

Katey founded Katey Bean & Company with the desire to help see her clients through both the excitements and difficulties of the home-buying and selling process with the highest level of professionalism and care. Katey Bean & Company offers a uniquely comprehensive approach to the home-buying and home-selling process with experience in real estate extending far beyond the front door. Katey is enthusiastic about hospitality, providing concierge-level service, and meeting new people. In Katey, like with any congenial host, there is empathy, mutual understanding, and genuine care for the needs of others. These qualities are a crucial part of Katey’s personal values and are central to Katey Bean & Company’s mission.

Married to her husband John for 23 years, Katey has two grown children and one four-legged friend, a 14-year-old Westie named Sophie. She loves collecting seashells, watching baseball games, and kayaking on Minnesota’s many lakes. She is a long-term supporter of The Ronald McDonald House, a charity near and dear to her heart. She was born and raised in Minneapolis and is proud to still call it home.
