About Katherine
North Carolina is in Katherine’s blood. She was born and raised in Bath, NC, which is the oldest incorporated town in the state. Her family farmed tobacco, so she spent summers topping and suckering the fields before attending and graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in Early Childhood and a specialist degree in Reading for Gifted Children.
Retired from teaching, there is so much affection for the children and families of Brunswick County in Katherine’s heart. In 2006 she became a Realtor and started selling real estate at Century 21 on Oak Island. She is very enthusiastic about helping people buy or sell property. Her goal is to listen to and understand what her clients’ thoughts and needs are. She sticks with her clients throughout the entire process, and she does not give up. Her response time is quick, and she answers texts, emails, or calls as quickly as possible.
Brunswick County is such a wonderful place to live! There is an Oyster Festival in Ocean Isle, the Day at the Docks on Holden Beach and the Fourth of July Festival in Southport. Many of the communities have a summer concert series, community theater opportunities, coffee shops, great restaurants, and Christmas Flotillas! The people in the area are warm and inviting. There is so much to do and sometimes Katherine tells clients that she is living in "Mayberry"- and that is a wonderful place to be!
Katherine and her husband have lived in Brunswick County for 27 years. They have a deep love of rescue dogs; their little dog Dixie was the runt of her litter and had some defective issues that they had to work out. They think that all 9lbs of her are perfect! Katherine’s whole life has been spent in the rivers, inlets and waters of the Atlantic Ocean and there is nothing that compares to the salty smell of that water that swells as the coastal plains get closer. From Calabash to Corolla, Katherine can take care of any client’s real estate needs!
