About Kathleen
Kathleen has made the Pioneer Valley her home for more than 30 years. She arrived in the Valley in 1992 through employment with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, where she worked in visitor services and communications. After retiring from government service in 2008 following a 32-year career, Kathleen transitioned into real estate to continue working in a customer service field that brings together her love for houses, land, and people.
For many years, Kathleen has had what she calls an "inexplicable attraction” to houses – their location, design, and features; the way they are sited and incorporated into the surrounding landscape; how light and floor plans influence the mood of a house; and how they mirror and represent their owners. She believes "we shape our dwellings and afterward our dwellings shape us.” To further her understanding of the connection between people and the spaces they occupy, Kathleen studied with the New England School of Feng Shui in Woodbury, CT.
Finding the right house is a process. Kathleen has the skills, interest, and innate ability to work closely with clients in finding the home or parcel of land uniquely suited for them. Likewise, she works with sellers to bring them buyers who are looking for the features their home offers. Kathleen has a warm and personable style and greatly enjoys the relationships that develop between herself and her clients. Clients find her approachable, honest, attentive to their needs and interests, and a good communicator. She also enjoys new construction and frequently assists buyers who want to build or find that perfect parcel of land.
When not working with clients, Kathleen can be found on the pickleball court, walking her dog through the streets of Hatfield, or hiking trails with her camera trying to capture images reflective of the open space and beauty found in Western Massachusetts. She also enjoys reading, live music, working out at Fitness Together, poetry readings, researching books on house design and construction, and exploring the Southwest and islands of the Caribbean.
Kathleen and her partner, Sue Moorman, live in Hatfield with their dog, a rescue from the island of St. Croix.
With 15 years of local real estate experience, Kathleen looks forward to helping others. For those seeking a hard-working, diligent agent committed to serving their needs, reaching out to Kathleen is encouraged.
