Katie's roots run deep on Whidbey Island, where her family has lived for six generations. Katie is actively dedicated to the Whidbey Island community, exemplifying her passion for honoring her Whidbey Island heritage. She is the Vice President at the Clinton Chambers of Commerce and is actively engaged on two boards: the Clinton Community Council and the Camano & Island County Tourism Board.

Katie is passionate about giving back to her community, particularly when it comes to supporting young people. She's an active supporter of organizations like the Children's Miracle Network (Seattle Children's Hospital) and Big Brothers Big Sisters, and takes great pride in positively impacting the lives of others.

When she's not working, Katie loves spending time with her husband, Jason, and their four children. They enjoy a wide range of activities, from soccer and skiing to paddleboarding and simply hanging out and creating memories together.
