Her interest in real estate began years ago when she and her husband bought their first home in Washington, D.C. They have since purchased investment properties and moved several times, strengthening Katie’s valuable knowledge and expertise which she enjoys sharing with her clients. Going above and beyond to assist them with one of life’s most important decisions and investments is what she enjoys most.

Katie holds the distinctive Military Relocation Professional and Pricing Strategies Advisor Designations that set her apart from her peers. As the spouse of a State Department Officer, she has personally spent 14 years living overseas in five different countries, strengthening her ability to be flexible, adaptable, and sensitive to the unique needs of different ethnicities and cultures.

The guidance she offers her clients is very clear and concise. Katie is open, transparent, and informative in all types of scenarios, from where to live to rent vs. buy, and selling vs. renting out a home. Originally from Washington State, Katie holds a B.S. in Sociology and M.S. in Statistics for Policy Analysis from American University. She worked for several years for the American Institute of Physics as a social science researcher, as well as at the US Embassies in Amman, Jordan and Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Katie lives in Vienna with her family and their cat Pinkie that they brought with them from Jordan. She is active in the PTA at her children’s schools, plus enjoys travel, hiking and photography in her spare time.

Katie provided excellent service as our listing agent. She was very familiar with the neighborhood where we were selling our town home, and made solid recommendations for improvements prior to listing that would appeal to potential buyers. She helped us settle on a list price that would allow us to achieve our goal of selling quickly. Throughout the process of listing the home through open houses to evaluating offers, Katie always ensured we received ample communication. She worked with us to set up meetings around our schedule, and let us know when we needed to make decisions quickly. She offered sound advice as we negotiated with the buyer regarding requests tied to the home inspection. Her familiarity with what was typical in terms of addressing or declining requests from the buyer helped us move quickly through the counteroffer phase. She brought in colleagues and service personnel as needed, and made the process of addressing necessary repairs or updates very painless. We were pleased to work with Katie, and would certainly work with her again in the future!

Katie is amazing and we would highly recommend her. Not only did she help us negotiate and secure our forever home with the cash back at closing, but she helped us sell and get the most out townhouse. She is skilled at managing both the selling and buying process; everything was smooth, organized and timed perfectly. Katie also goes above and beyond to help with smaller details of the process, offering a helping hand with everything from staging to scheduling inspections. The personalized touch means all the difference when you are making big life decisions! We were first-time home buyers in the competitive Arlington market, so having a great realtor was very important to us. Katie found a great listing that I wouldn't have checked out on my own, and within a few weeks we were under contract for an amazing 4BR/3.5BA in a desirable neighborhood of North Arlington. She walked us through every step, recommended a great title company and mortgage lender, and helped us immensely at every stage of the process. On top of everything, she gave our kids the sweetest closing gifts, which were some toys she'd noticed them enjoying during one of our open house visits.
