I had a great experience listing and selling a house with Katie Westhora of TOP Idaho Homes.
At the first meeting, Katie came very well prepared with comparable properties in the area, and knowledge of new projects that would be competition for our sale. We went through the house, room by room, and she gave very specific recommendations on what to remove and how to arrange and place the items that remained.
During the listing and sales process, Katie continued to be prepared and responsive. Even if she was out of town, she was always a text or a phone call away.
Katie always had good advice and recommendations, but she made it clear that the decisions were mine to make.
Bottom line, we had offers in 10 days, and closed 6 weeks after listing!
The house was in good condition and showed well, but Katie’s advice in preparing and presenting it definitely helped with the fast sale.

Katie Westhora is an awesome realtor!! She went way above anything that any realtor has ever done for me. Katie took care of every aspect and every detail of selling my son's home, even getting bids to get stuff taken care of. She did many things herself too like, boarding up a non useable balcony door, changing out batteries in the smoke detectors, keeping the home clean inside even after open houses and all the dust that homes accumulate, and so much more, including having the rest of this huge home cleaned up for me when I first talked with her. I had been working on cleaning out my son's 4000+ sq. ft., 3 story home, by myself. When I met Katie, she said she would take care of the rest of it, and just like that, I instantly had no more work to do on the rest of this home and no more worries. Any questions I had were answered immediately. Every aspect of the home and the sale were taken care of with professionalism and quickly. Katie is also a very caring and compassionate person. She knew the difficulties and heartbreak involved in this sale of this home and showed compassion and caring every step of the way. Even when I was not professional, she still was. Not only are Katie and Tom friendly and personable, but they know the market, they know what works, and they gave us very sound information and advice. They also made the process extremely easy with the many generous services they offered, like providing house cleaning before listing AND after moving out, changing out every lightbulb in the entire house before showing, helping with storage rental costs, hiring a professional stager to give us tips as we prepped the house, and even hauling away junk that we didn't have time to deal with. Moving from out of state presents challenges that are atypical to a home purchase. Trying to choose your next place to call home from 1000 miles away can be unsettling. Having never done this before, I was not sure how it would be possible, but Katie and Tom made is so easy. Choosing an agent based on one interview/interaction is foolish.

You don't know what kind of agent they are until you've worked with them for at least a few months and see how they actually work.

Are they responsive with the hour? On top of your requests? Do they know most of the answers to your questions? Are they consistent? Are they thorough? Do they listen to what you're saying?

I interviewed and worked with three other agents for over two months before choosing Katie. It was a no brainer to choose her because of her service, professionalism, knowledge of the process and current market conditions.

Put simply: Katie Westhora is amazing.

Having purchased a home with Katie, I can say she is very responsive throughout the entire process, she explains the things to lookout for at each step, is always looking out for your best interest, and has a natural ability to interact with other agents to get you the best deal possible. She has your bases covered and when something isn't right she gets it fixed without you having to ask. She gets it done right. I'm grateful to have had her in my corner.

I highly recommend Katie Westhora if you are looking for a property! Last summer I visited Boise from out of state to decide if I wanted to move here, and I didn’t know my way around town. Katie is very familiar with the area, and she kindly spent an entire day driving me around town and getting me familiar with the various neighborhoods, showing me houses in each to give me a sense of what’s available in my price point. We stayed in touch, and at the beginning of the year I made the move. When we started to look at properties, she spent time showing me an array of properties and areas, which really helped narrow down what I was looking for. She will happily spend as much time with you as you need until you find what you’re looking for. She’s very knowledgeable about the market, and is really just a lot of fun to be around!
