About Kelly

Kelly Ruhlin came to Hilton Head 30 years ago with her then boyfriend, Eric, to meet his family, and after falling head over heels for Eric and the Island she never left! Kelly has enjoyed living on this island paradise ever since, getting married here, raising two wonderful boys, and becoming deeply involved in the community. For years Kelly assisted the PTA with a variety of projects including spearheading a revitalization project for the school grounds. Kelly was on the board of the Friends of the Children, a local charitable organization that works to increase our community’s awareness of the resources at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). In 2009, when Kelly became aware of her son’s rare kidney disease, which inspired her to organize a fundraising tennis tournament for kids to encourage nephrology research at MUSC, promote awareness and have a lot of fun. Over the eight years of Kelly’s involvement, the charity raised over $300,000. Kelly’s community, family and local business connections are extensive. Over the years she has worked in both sales and marketing for local businesses. She and her family have lived in five different venues on the Island, offering Kelly firsthand insight into the various Island neighborhoods. Kelly loves connecting new families with the Hilton Head Island community she now calls home.
