About Kelsey
Kelsey Swartzentruber grew up in the Midwest on a family farm. Home has always been a prominent place. She enjoyed living in an old farmhouse that her family renovated over the years. Living and working on a farm helped her to develop a challenging work ethic, a gift for hospitality, and resourcefulness. These gifts have transferred into a diverse set of work experiences.
Kelsey moved to the Valley to attend Eastern Mennonite University and upon graduation taught in Rockingham County Public schools for five years. To balance family life, Kelsey transitioned to Highland Retreat Center in the summer of 2012 as a food service manager. In each of these roles, Kelsey was able to develop meaningful relationships and gain insight from various parts of the Shenandoah Valley. She appreciates the unique local culture that Harrisonburg and Rockingham County provides.
Memories of home, both past and present, have drawn Kelsey to a real estate career. She appreciates spaces that tell a story and communicate who a person or family is. She can see things not for what they are, but for what they can be. She is eager to use her unique skill set to serve you.
Kelsey is married to Kendal Swartzentruber, a long time Rockingham County resident. They have three children who love being outside. Kelsey enjoys hosting friends and family, shopping for antiques, and redecorating her home. They attend Lindale Mennonite church, where they are actively involved.
She is eager to help you find a place you can call home!
