Kevin Urquhart was born and raised in the small town of Monroeville, Alabama. Monroeville taught him the importance of community, but he wanted to see what else the state had to offer. After finishing college with a degree in Industrial Electronics, he married the love of his life and soon after started what would be a 14-year career in automotive manufacturing at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama in Montgomery. His duties at HMMA began with being a robot operator and led him to being a Maintenance Technician where he would troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, write, and implement PLC program logic, and routinely calibrate highly precise CNC equipment. While he enjoyed his work, he felt the call to pursue a career where he could have a more direct impact in the lives of people. To that end, he decided that becoming a Realtor would be one of the most direct ways he could positively affect someone's life. Few things encompass so many important aspects of our existence, and our homes are a direct connection to the life we want for ourselves. So, he began his real estate journey by working part time at Realty Connection, a family-owned brokerage in Prattville, which allowed him the flexibility to have a presence in the business while maintaining his career at HMMA. He used his time there to accrue more knowledge by attending continuing education classes at the local Board of Realtors in Montgomery, as well as traveling around the state to other boards to gain new perspectives in how the business of real estate is conducted. It is his hope now to take his diligence from his career in industrial maintenance and apply it to making sure that every transaction is conducted with the utmost care and precision.
