Kim Haskins is a proud native of the Beehive State who has spent her career acquiring extensive experience within the world of real estate, sales, and business management. Today she is the Senior Vice President of Operations at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty—the Utah affiliate of the global Sotheby’s International Realty brand and industry leader. Kim joined Summit SIR in 2014 and has enjoyed the challenge and hands-on experience of filling multiple roles within the organization during her tenure—growing her skills alongside the company itself.
Prior to entering the world of real estate, Kim studied accounting at LDS Business College and Weber State University. After school, she partnered with an investor to build a gas station/convenience store that they owned and operated before selling it to a major chain in 2006. Having been in the industry for several years, Kim was then recruited to fill the position of Operations Manager for a fuel equipment construction company. In this role, she advanced the company from $300,000 in gross annual sales to $3.1 million in sales in just three years.
Kim received her real estate license in 2007, and jumped at the opportunity to manage the liquidation of a local credit union’s extensive real estate portfolio. In just 16 months, her team completed over 140 short sale and bank-owned transactions which provided an excellent introduction into the fast-paced world of real estate. In the years since, Kim has cultivated deep executive experience in multiple senior leadership positions, managing operations and accounting for rapidly growing start-up companies across Utah.
During her time at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, Kim has excelled in a variety of roles, including VP of Marketing and Chief Operating Officer. Her efforts have been instrumental in the success and growth of Summit Sotheby’s International Realty over the past decade. In addition to managing the daily operations at Summit SIR’s 13 office facilities, Kim also oversees the firm’s Transaction Management and Visual Media departments providing hands-on leadership in a variety of operational areas. Kim has personally spearheaded multiple office build-outs and remodels for Summit SIR during the company’s growth, with complete design freedom and overall project management.
In addition to her responsibilities as VP of Operations at Summit SIR, Kim still enjoys the opportunity to practice real estate alongside her husband Ethan, who is a fellow sales associate with Summit Sotheby’s International Realty. They specialize in residential real estate along the Wasatch Front, specifically in the areas of Sandy and Cottonwood Heights. Realizing that each client and property is unique, they custom-tailor their professional services to fit each client and transaction. Kim’s extensive experience in design is an added benefit when it comes to staging properties to best highlight unique features. Their team is known for delivering the same unparalleled, white-glove service that the Sotheby’s brand is known for.
Kim is an analytical thinker, is highly motivated and she enjoys taking on new challenges. Her exposure to various business cultures and a diverse range of industries has granted her with a unique blend of professional expertise that few can match in today’s competitive industry.
