I am a army bratt originally from North Carolina but spent most of my life in the Denver Metro area of Colorado. I met my husband April Fools day of 1999. We were married in 2001 and have 3 children. Even though my husband was a Colorado native and I had been there since I was 10, we wanted a change. Something was pulling us to Oklahoma. Over a holiday weekend the Tulsa area stole my heart. After months of researching different areas and homes for sale I came across “the one”. I walked in the door and immediately knew I was home. We went back to Colorado, packed up, sold our house and moved the 700 miles to Claremore Oklahoma. Every day I fall in love with this area all over again. I ran a successful daycare in Colorado for 15 years. I loved working with kids. I helped 25 kids over the years grow and get ready for school. I knew I couldn’t bring my daycare kids with me but wasn’t sure what my next step was going to be. The very minute we signed on the dotted line and our dream home was ours, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I wanted to help other people get that same feeling. Not just buying a house but buying “the one”. So now I knew what I wanted to do but where to start. It just so happens the owner of the house we bought was a Solid Rock Realtor. We had a smooth experience with our transaction so it just seamed like the right place to begin. Being a home buyer and seller before I knew it didn’t always go so smooth. I started real estate classes right away and worked very hard. So much so that I scored a 91% on my state exam on the first try.
