Krista was amazing to work with in my purchase of a cabin in the Plavada area. Her depth of knowledge of the local area and of the Tahoe real estate market in general is fantastic, and she’s an unbelievable agent, representing your interests in every dimension of the process. Given the massive snowfall in the area, I had to rely on Krista for a majority of the legwork and diligence on the property since she was local. Also, Her former knowledge of the property I was purchasing was what helped give me comfort I was buying a quality home. She was such an incredible partner and resource in the process - answering my many questions, working to understand the HOA rules for me, investigating prior construction work completed, and leading me through a very quick purchase process. I couldn’t recommend someone more highly. She also is trustworthy, honest and kind, helping me several times post- the purchase. Great network and so informed! I lucked out in being referred to her. I will continue to use her in the future.

Krista is definitely an expert on the summit. She seems to know everyone. Our sale was more complicated than most, as we wanted to sell 50% of our Serene Lakes cabin to new partners. From her advice on listing and pricing, to the process of showing the cabin, to vetting the potential buyers, to navigating the complicated closing, she helped us every step of the way. We were actually out of the country while much of this happened, so she really was the key to our success. We highly recommend her for any transactions on the summit.

I recommend Krista Voosen for your real estate needs in the Serene Lakes area. Anyone can list and sell your property in a seller's market but it takes an experienced agent to navigate the complex map of disclosures, amendments and reports required to sell a property in markets that are pivoting from seller's to buyer's. As the market softened and interest rates rose, she utilized her knowledge of local service providers to meet contingencies on the contract deadline. Ours was not an easy transaction; she remained focused, calm and committed to completing the sale. Krista and her team are true professionals.

What a fantastic whirlwind! Listed, readied (in late-season snowstorms, no less), sold with multiple offers, and closed in two months to the day. When it came time to sell our cabin in Serene Lakes, we knew exactly where to go. After decades of being on the summit and seeing all the real estate mailings, signs, listings, etc., it was very clear who had the visibility and experience in the area to sell our much-loved mountain cabin—Krista at Serene Lakes Realty. We had met Krista years ago when we bought the cabin (SLR had represented the sellers), and we knew then that she would be one to watch. Over the years we saw her take the reins of the business and become the pre-eminent agent in the area, and after our initial meeting it was clear why. Krista knows the market and gave us great advice on timing, pricing, staging, etc. Getting a home ready for sale isn’t easy, and it’s even harder when you live three hours away, there are a couple weeks of unseasonable snowstorms right when you need to move, and your 4-wheel drive SUV dies. But Krista went above and beyond to coordinate and oversee every aspect of the sale, from meeting inspectors, to arranging cleaners, to staging, and even to handling trash runs. All we had to do was remove our personal items (she offered to help with that as well!). She kept us up-to-date with weekly calendars and action items so that everything ran smoothly. Thank you, Krista, for a top-notch experience from start to finish.

My wife and I have been looking for a cabin up in the sierras for over a year, we came across one we liked and Serene Lakes was the listing realty, we called and spoke with Krista and she agreed to show us the cabin the next morning.
Let me tell you, my wife and I have purchased several properties before and worked with very nice, knowledgeable and professional realtors but Krista has all of that and way more, we felt like we were working with a close family friend.
This was by far the best buying experience we ever had, if you are looking to buy or sell in the sierras I strongly recommend using Krista, her knowledge of the area is incredible and she truly loves her job and helping people with their property needs.

Krista made selling my cabin almost effortless for me while bringing in great offers and a seamless close. I was out of state for the entire process but knew I was in good hands because Krista knows this market extensively. My property was in a very unique neighborhood with rustic cabins, limited winter access and its own water system.
