About Kristy

Kristy Ortega is a third generation currently raising a fourth in Los Alamos County. Her experience spreads throughout the both the private and government sector and, most recently the nonprofit sector. “The Los Alamos Community is unique in so many ways. I hope to bring the knowledge of this community and its surroundings to those who are interested in coming to the area. Whether someone is moving here for the first time, coming back after many years, or planning to downsize into retirement, Northern New Mexico has something to offer.”

In addition to helping community members find the right home, Ortega is also passionate about, and no stranger to giving back to her community. “As the previous Executive Director for the United Way of Northern New Mexico, I was able to meet and work with some of the most incredible people, who I am honored to consider friends and neighbors,” said Ortega. In addition, Ortega is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos, is a 2005 Graduate of Leadership Los Alamos, and has served on numerous boards and committees over the last 15 years.
