I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to be a dentist and that I wanted to live in Atlanta. While in college at Florida State, I worked as a dental assistant and confirmed that dentistry was definitely for me. I attended dental school at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, earning my DDS degree in 1996. Knowing that I wanted to work with kids as a Pediatric Dentist, I did a two-year residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
After finishing my residency in 1998, I could not wait to move to Atlanta to start practicing and working with children. When I moved to Atlanta, I met my husband, Shawn, fell in love, got married and now have two adorable little girls, Katherine and Caroline. I worked for 8 years at a practice in Alpharetta, Georgia. When I had my daughters, I decided that I wanted to work closer to our home and be more of a part of our great Dunwoody community. We opened our practice in Dunwoody Village in April 2007.
As a mother, I appreciate the extremely important decisions that parents must make in the care of their children's health, including the care of their teeth. I promise to provide you with the information you need to make the best decisions possible for your family's dental well-being. More importantly, I will provide your children with individualized care and dental healthcare choices to fit their specific needs - my highest priority is the comfort and health of our patients and their families.
