Integrity - the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. If one word could describe Krystyna in every facet of her life, integrity would be the one. Following through on what is promised, answering every question thoroughly and honestly, even if the answer is “I don’t know but I will find out” and always striving to do the right thing. Krystyna was born in Poland and immigrated to Chicago with her family at the age of eight. Her work ethic, resourcefulness, and respect for economies of a free market were instilled in her by her parents. Arriving from Warsaw at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport with 3 children, 2 suitcases, and $20 in their pocket in 1965; speaking no English and having no marketable skills they successfully created a comfortable, secure life for their family through plain hard work and gratitude for the opportunity to work. Krystyna attended Chicago public schools on the north side. She was the first in her extended family to attend college.

Krystyna is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana with a BA in Finance. While working as an accountant she passed the CPA exam. She and her husband Bill raised three daughters while living in Chicago, Glenview, and Lisle and finally settling in Mundelein for the past 30+ years. Their children attended Lincoln Elementary, Carl Sandburg Middle School, and Mundelein High School. Krystyna has volunteered at her daughters’ schools, sports teams, school clubs, and school committees. Her family are members of The Chapel in Mundelein. She volunteers at the Community Care Center in Grayslake and The Chapel’s mobile food pantry. They enjoy “Lake Life” at their summer home on Lake Elizabeth in Twin Lakes, WI. She also enjoys exercise, travel, cooking, decorating, technology, crossword puzzles, taking care of her family, and fun times with her friends.
