Lacy Baaheth

Lacy Baaheth is a native of Baton Rouge Louisiana. She is the daughter of Dr. Mohammad Baaheth who is well known for his achievements in the Engineering, Scientific, Academic and Musical communities and Alicia Moss Baaheth who aided her husband in operating major companies while almost single handedly raising an entire community of children. Lacy grew up with eight brothers and sisters; many other friends and self-adopted family members that made up the Baaheth household.

Lacy is extremely familiar with the private school system; she attended the Southern Laboratory (Lab) school for most of her primary education. At Southern Lab she blossomed into a graceful young lady with many talents. She participated in several of their academic as well as athletic and extracurricular activities. She was a long time member in their band program and one of the few females to earn a position in the famed Southern Lab marching band. A majorette, track star, a member of the Science and Math clubs, Lacy showed her versatility as she achieved excellence in all that she placed on her unrelenting schedule.

Earning a solid academic foundation at the Laboratory School, Lacy went on to attend Southern University and Louisiana State University Majoring in Environmental Chemistry/Chemical Engineering.

During Lacy’s post Southern years she has participated in a range of endeavors. She has taught at a local high school, a hospitality manager at a major company, and owned several small companies but Lacy found her real niche when she started working in the Real Estate Industry. Progressing from an agent with ERA, which soon became a local RE/MAX company where she later became the Broker for the company and ultimately the Company’s Vice President.

Presently, Lacy is the owner of Lacy Baaheth and Associates, a Real Estate and Property Management Company. She has several designations to include Acquired Accredited Buyer’s Representative Designation (ABR) and Graduate REALTOR’sâ Institute (GRI). She is an active member of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB), National Association of REALTORSâ (NAR), Professional Business Network (PBN), Real Estate BROKERS Agent Council (REBAC). Lacy is also the current President of the prestigious Baton Rouge Association of Real Estate Brokers (BRAREB). This organization acts as the voice for Minority Realtors providing training, community service and much needed information to our community.

For the past 13 years Lacy has been an active Realtor and leader in our community. She can be seen in many forums such as magazines, billboards news paper articles and public events even appearing on the cover of Beautiful Black Magazine titled “Ranked # 7 in the Sate by RE/MAX, Lacy is at the top of her game”. She spends much of her time working with the youth and other non-profit organizations such as The American Heart Association, The Muscular Dystrophy Association, Southern University’s College of Business-Gala on the Bluff, The You Can Succeed Organization for Youth, and Boy Scouts of America.

Lacy is married to Keith Sylvain a former Marine with 30 years of active service to our country. Together they have four children: Sherod, Lakeya, Mohammad and Brionna.
