Laura joins the Kentucky Select team after 15 years of coaching and competing in women’s rowing at the Division I level. She moved to Louisville in 2004 to coach women’s rowing at the University of Louisville, serving as the head coach from 2007-2012. Her tenure at the University has exposed her to a broad array of successful marketing and recruiting strategies. In addition, being successful in Division I collegiate athletics depends heavily on effective communication and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. Laura also knows first-hand how to set the bar high, work hard, and produce positive results while also having fun and enjoying the process.

Louisville has been like home to her entire life, as both her parents were born and raised here; and many holidays and summer vacations were spent visiting grandparents and life-long family friends. like many, Laura quickly learned what an amazing city Louisville is and after meeting her husband (a Louisville native) she knew she wanted to make Louisville her home.

Now, with three children, they continue to enjoy all the wonderful things that Louisville has to offer such as Cherokee Park trails, Douglass Loop farmer’s market, Waterfront Wednesday’s and crepes at Java which remain some of her favorites. Laura is active in the cycling, running, triathlon and CrossFit community and has taken part in the many sporting events Louisville has to offer, to include the Louisville Ironman event.
