About Laura
Career Summary:
I had a successful 18+ year career in domestic commercial banking and international investment banking in NYC. My last two positions before my retirement in 2001, were with ING Barings Securities and BBVA Securities, both as Managing Director, Floating Rate Debt Origination and Syndication for the Americas. I led the team that started the syndicated loan business in Latin America and was honored with the Latin Loan of the Year award in 1995 by the International Financing Review.
I moved to Big Sky, Montana full time in 2001 and worked for 2 years as the Lending Manager for American Bank of Montana, with responsibility for the Yellowstone Club and its members. I then founded and ran Morningstar Learning Center, a 501c-3 early education and childcare facility for 6 years.
I obtained my Real Estate Salesperson license and joined Big Sky Sotheby’s International Realty in January 2010, followed by my Broker’s license in 2013. Despite one of the worst downturns in the U.S. real estate market early in my real estate career, I’ve managed to grow my business from the ground up with many repeat clients and as of the end of 2023, I have closed 168 transactions valued at over $161,000,000, in the role of buyer’s agent, seller’s agent, dual agent and referral agent.
Education Summary:
Colgate University, Hamilton, NY - Bachelor of Arts with a major in French Literature and a minor in Economics.
Columbia University, NY, NY - Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics.
Series 7, 63 and 24 NASD Registered Representative (lapsed).
Fluent in French, conversant in Italian, formerly proficient in Spanish.
