My husband and I are moving to Portland OR from out of state. We were so overwhelmed at the beginning of this journey, not knowing the area and having so many realtors to choose from it seemed like such a mountain of a task. We were referred to Lauren by a friend, and I cannot believe how lucky we got right off the bat. If I could give Lauren and her team more than 5 stars you better believe I would! She is such a treat to work with. Her personality is so warm and fun, you can't help but have a great time around her. She's so knowledgeable about Portland and all the different neighborhoods which made our search so much less overwhelming since we aren't from the area. Lauren and team set up a meeting prior to starting the house search to ask all sorts of insightful questions about you and your family to figure out what kind of home, property, or neighborhood might suit you best, and promptly starts sending daily listing updates that fall within the search parameters you've decided on. It was so much fun waking up every day to see the new results! Since we are moving from another state we were only able to set up 3 days of in-person house hunting, but any time we found something on the market we really liked the idea of Lauren would go view it herself and send us detailed videos like our own private tour. On the days that we were there in person, her team set up amazing tour schedules to maximize our time and see as many homes as possible, we had SO much fun checking out all the houses on our list with her. Knowing what we were looking for, Lauren had our best interests at heart and, even when we were starting to feel lost in our search, she did not let us compromise on the things she knew we really felt strongly about! She was there with us every step of the way to give us a reality check anytime we started straying from our must-have lists or pining over homes that absolutely weren't going to work, grieving with us when we found what we thought was our perfect home and weren't able to get a competitive enough offer in, and celebrate with us when we finally found our home. We cannot imagine (and seriously don't want to) having done this without Lauren and her kickass team of real estate baddies. Thank you SO SO much Team Goche!!!

The best decision we made during our search for our very first home was deciding to work with Think. Lauren and her team offer a wealth of knowledge on the Portland market and offered us sanity, invaluable point of view and support from start to finish (and beyond!). It was so critical to have someone that could see things we were not able to - could help us realize the future obstacles we'd have with any said property. Most importantly, Lauren kept our spirits up over our long search and told us time and time again that she was unwilling to let us settle. It was even written with style and humor, as if you could ask for anything more!

Maria, in particular, was a joy to tour with and discuss the pros and cons of homes I was debating, gave excellent advice on how to structure the best offer in this highly competitive market, and went above and beyond to help schedule inspections and specialist estimates to reference for negotiations.

My wife and I are both neurodivergent, and I literally cried after our first meeting with Lauren—just from the sheer relief of finding someone who communicated in a way that made sense to our brains. Her system of reminders and her clear, direct communication style made everything feel simple and manageable.

I already knew from a friend’s experience that Lauren was amazing to work with. Years after helping him buy a home, he still relied on her for advice and trusted referrals for home repairs and services. Because of that, I’d been following her on social media for years, and when it came time to sell our Portland home, I was genuinely excited to reach out.

We live in LA and thought we’d need to travel back for repairs and prep—but Lauren and her team took care of everything. They knew all the right people, handled the bids and scheduling, and made the entire process seamless.

What can I say about Lauren ands her team other than they are absolutely amazing, caring, brilliant humans, and I have been waking up with so much love and gratitude for them in my heart over the past month in my new, first house. All my adult life I had dreaded looking for, and buying a house. Just the thought caused hyperventilation. But, I work from home, and, mom (late 70s and lives with me) and I are getting older and I needed a comfortable place for us to age in place. I could no longer avoid what I had been dreading. I went to Lauren with a lot of doubt and apprehension and walked away from my first meeting with her and her team, feeling a burden lifted from my shoulders. I felt seen, I felt she got me, she inspired confidence, and most importantly, mom liked her. We both felt we could trust her to have our best interest at heart and she and her entire team did. They made the entire process so smooth that I still can’t believe it is done. All the team members are super responsive and I wonder sometimes if they are mind readers, because just as I would be thinking something, bam, they would share the info that put my brain and heart at ease. For buying, Lauren showed me properties that fit my needs while also counseling me against other properties that would not be worth the time to investigate. When we put an offer down, she got us in at a great price and navigated a tricky seller for us.

We are (were!) first-time home buyers planning a cross-country move to Portland to be closer to family, and we are so lucky to have found Lauren. We knew within about 5 minutes of talking to her & her ‘second-in-command’ partner, Daisy, that they were the agents for us.

We wanted agents that would be real with us, not sugarcoat anything, and help us make the choices that were in our best interest. We got all of that & so much more! Our first weekend of house hunting, it became clear that we had chosen a couple not-so-great houses to look at, and it was abundantly clear that they were not impressed & steered us towards a few better places. They took into account what we needed in a house, where we wanted to be, and found us some gems to look at.

When it came time to put in offers, Lauren was savvy & knew exactly how we should approach the offer, guiding us every step of the way thru negotiations with the seller’s realtor, getting us to a comfortable landing despite some hardball tactics from the other side. Team Goché is flat out, without a doubt, amazing. We first reached out to Lauren on the recommendation of a friend who was her previous client. Suffice to say, we were not disappointed at all. We were looking for a new house with enough room for our ever growing family while also trying to sell our old house. Team Goché was able to do both! Maria and Lauren were always in constant communication with us, keeping us updated with everything that was happening, and even playing therapist when our seller started playing silly games. Going in, we warned Lauren and Daisy that we were "sticklers". Having had a terrible experience 4 years earlier with an inept and dishonest agent, we wanted to ensure that they understood we paid attention to detail, and had high expectations of them.

If you are looking for a real estate agent that is honest, direct, and goes hard for you throughout the process- Lauren is for you. If you want a real estate agent who won't let you settle and will tell you keep looking instead of writing an offer on a place that kind of sucks because you're tired- Lauren is for you. As a final anecdote- I thought Lauren did a great job on helping us find and get this house we now love. But Lauren also negotiated that the sellers buy us a home warranty. While I thought that was nice of her- I didn't really think the home warranty would actually pay out if anything happened. I was wrong. When our washing machine broke after 4 months in the house we called the warranty company and they sent someone over. They ended up paying us $1200 to buy a new washer. WHAT?

Lauren shepherded me through the emotionally tumultuous selling of my house--which would have been hard for me even without a pandemic. Because I was leaving a beloved house/neighborhood, and doing so during first few months of the COVID pandemic, I was ornery at times, and emotionally volatile much of the time. A couple friends bought homes with Lauren and raved about her when I asked for a referral when I was ready to buy my first home. I was impressed by her network of contacts - I wound up using a lending agent she recommended, my home inspection was scheduled the next business day after my offer was accepted and the inspector did a fantastic job, she contacted a roofer for a bid and the work they did is wonderful. It was a relief to be able to worry about the things only I could deal with and leave the rest to Lauren.

I was referred to Lauren through another favorite realtor of mine in Eugene. I am so glad I took her advice because Lauren is clearly one of the best (if not the best) realtors in Portland! The day after meeting with Lauren I found a house that checked all of my boxes. I went to go see it and was blown away. Lauren helped me put an offer in right away and her strategy helped me beat out 5 other offers! Everything was extremely well coordinated, including with the lender, and we were able to close SUPER fast! Definitely give Lauren a call if you are in the market.

I always thought of a realtor as pertaining to a transaction, like "I bought this house and my realtor was _____." But then I met Lauren, and now I think of a realtor as a long-term person in my world who I can go to for anything related to homeownership - buying and selling of course, but also advice, recommendations, and being part of a great network. Buying and owning a home can be stressful, but once Lauren is in your corner, you'll never have to feel like you're on your own! And once you've worked with her, you'll never need to look for another realtor, cause it doesn't get any better!

I can not say enough amazing things about Lauren. After stalking her IG page for about a year i finally reached out to let her know i was interested in starting the process - on her amazing advice i met with some mortgage brokers and figured out what i would qualify for, and what i would be comfortable with. She was patient, kind and the best kind of pushy (No Tara, you can't look at that house, its trash - the listing pics just make it look better) we finally found the PERFECT little home for me. I recommend her to EVERYONE looking for a home - whether its your first or 5th. She will fight for you and make sure you are realistic in your goals and do everything in her power to achieve them.

Listen to Lauren. She cares to get to know her clients so she can truly match them with their perfect home, not just do whatever to make a sale. She is honest and will tell you when something is a bad idea, which I admire and respect. She will also skip down the driveway with you when you get goosebumps approaching a house you just know will be yours, and then she will fight like mad to make sure it becomes yours. She is a beautiful human with a kind and adventurous spirit, so spending hours house hunting felt more like hanging out with a friend than grinding through the process. Even years after buying a house with her - she is responsive to questions and always has great recommendations for how to be a better homeowner. Really, you can't go wrong here.

For anyone looking for an house in Portland, she is the person to go to; she is friendly, answered all my questions in a timely manner, and is definitely very knowledgeable about the local real estate market. Any request that I had, she got the job done, and always followed up to ensure I was highly satisfied and all my needs were being addressed.

As a first-time home buyer, I required a lot of extra attention, and needed someone reliable to answer questions and provide recommendations about loans, inspections, offer negotiations, and the closing process. Lauren was instrumental in making this whole process a major success for me. Fair and honest, and always with my best interest at heart. Lauren is a gem. I trusted her to sell my baby, the home I'd loved for 12 years, where my kids were born. She did it LIKE A BOSS. In the pre-listing phase, she brought in the landscaper, handyman, stager and cleaners, all top-notch. She has a great eye and knows where to spend your pre-sale dollars... she asked me to do less than other realtors, but sold my house for 17% over asking! Did you catch that? She did want to list lower than others BUT she did such a great job marketing my house, it went HOT, 10 potential buyers fell in love, and with competing offers she got to a price well over what I had imagined possible. Oh, and she did all that during a Portland SNOWPOCALYPSE. Best of all, the process was not only EASY for me, it was FUN. By the time I signed, I had no mixed feelings-I knew my home-baby was going to a good buyer at a great price and I was ready to let it go and focus on my new one. Lauren was our guiding star when we moved to Portland in October of 2016 in search of a home. We had lived in the Midwest most of our lives and were not sure what we were looking for in Portland. Meanwhile, we looked at various houses with her, which was always a fun experience. Lauren has a very engaging personality that just makes you love her and share her excitement. I've never met a realtor quite like her, and would love to clone her! She puts humor and adventure into house searching. She was not at all pushy or judgmental. She let us know when a house was overpriced or had problems, and we never doubted that she was there for us. Selling and buying in this market was something that literally kept me up at night. However, with Lauren as our realtor, the process couldn't have been more smooth. Lauren was recommended to us by not one but 3 good friends who had purchased/sold with her in the past and their recommendations were spot on.
