He has been involved with Lions Club, Rotary Club (sponsored group study exchange) and is a recipient of the Kiwanian of the Year. In his free time, Johnny enjoys golfing, boating, fishing, hunting and traveling with his wife Lawanna. Winner of top Girl Scout cookie sales three years in a row, Baldwin County Teacher of the Year, former supervisor with Alabama's Baldwin County Public Schools and marathon runner, Lawanna has resided on Ono Island for over twenty-five years. She holds a doctorate in education and is a member of Orange Beach Methodist Church, is actively involved with Ono Ladies and Ono Ladies Too.
