Leah is lucky to call Mike and Joy, owners of Town and Mountain Realty, her parents. Like her dad, she was born and raised here in Asheville. Leah attended Asheville City Schools and got a wonderful education through our local school system. When Leah graduated from Asheville High, Leah moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston in South Carolina. Leah's junior year, Leah got to spend a semester abroad in Brisbane, Australia, where Leah attended The University of Queensland. Leah graduated from CofC with a degree in business and a concentration in Marketing.
All through college, Leah worked at Copper Penny, a high-end clothing boutique in downtown Charleston, where Leah became passionate about designer clothing and shoes. When Leah graduated from college, with her education in business, background in sales, and a keen eye for style and design, Leah was hired as a design consultant for a family business, Palmetto Tile Distributors, in Charleston. Leah was very fortunate to help build the new showroom from scratch, and Leah developed a wonderful clientele working with some of the best interior designers and builders in Charleston, helping to create the homes of our client's dreams through kitchen and bath design.
Leah moved back home to Asheville at the beginning of 2015 to be close to family, and to join our family business, and The Mike Miller Team. Leah is now able to play on the same volleyball team as her dad and sister, practice yoga with her mom on a regular basis, and we all Like to get out for a good live music show and local beer when given the opportunity. What a blessing to be able to call this beautiful city home again.
She grew up around the real estate business. And Leah's background in sales, design, and customer service is a natural lead into real estate sales. Leah's first year of real estate was a successful one, Leah was extremely fortunate to be busy right out of the gate. And exactly after a year of selling real estate, Leah bought a 1950's bungalow in West Asheville and performed a major renovation. They joke that it was another way to pay for an education, and Leah absolutely loved it! It has helped Leah be even more knowledgeable about owning a home and help educate her clients, especially first-time home buyers, on what it is Like to buy and renovate a fixer-upper! Leah has recently purchased and renovated a second bungalow as an investment and Leah's officially hooked! Leah loves the creative outlet and problem-solving that comes with bringing life back to these old homes. If someone is interested in this type of project, lets bounce some ideas off each other!
