Lenny Derewyanko

I was born in Brooklyn, New York. I attended school in Richmond Hill, Queens, N.Y. and graduated there in 1972. After completing school I had moved to Florida and started working in the parks Department for the City of West Palm Beach for 10 years. Around the same time I was hired by a contractor in Jupiter. They were building homes in the Bluff's (single family), Admiral's Cove, Jonathan's Landing and the Shores. This was a very challenging job, however the results of these homes upon completion is what led to my passion for real estate. In 1988, I relocated back to Queens, New York. During this time I met my wife, who was attending nursing school. At that point my desire to get into real estate was so strong I finally decided to attend school and get my license. I received my real estate license in New York and worked for Century 21 for a year before I decided that I missed Florida's weather and moved back with my wife after she completed nursing school. I worked as a produce manager until I could complete the Florida requirements to receive my license here. Shortly after receiving my license the owner/chef of one of the most exquisite restaurants in Jupiter invited me and my wife to have dinner there. During the evenings conversation real estate was brought up and he told me about Option Realty Network/Bluffs & Abacoa Sales & Rentals. I had worked there for almost 10 years and decided to change companies in a tough economic times. Realty Associates has a larger network of realtors so we can reach out to more buyers and sellers in this real estate market. As further times changed in the market some companies started going down hill and again I had to search for a better company that will help in my passion for real estate. Donohue Real Estate came along as the owner of Realty Associates, Sharon Donohue opened up a office in Palm Beach. I jumped on the chance of working with Sharon Donohue again. She wanted a company that was good for buyers and sellers with no process and handling fees, great advertising, state of the art offices which she had expanded to Palm Beach Gardens. She also takes care of her agents. I was one of the top agents in 2015 with 4.4 million in sales and rentals with 79 closed transactions.

I belong to the Realty Associates of the Palm Beach board and the Palm Beach Board of realtors in Palm Beach. Palm Beach and mainland Multiple Listing Services.
