Lesley Heidt

Lesley is a partner and principal broker of Sandpiper Realty, responsible for running all aspects of the business as well as selling properties on Martha’s Vineyard. Though her leadership at Sandpiper, she has helped maintain the reputation and integrity of the island’s frontrunner in professional, personalized brokerage service.

Lesley’s family ties to Martha’s Vineyard span generations, which is why she ultimately chose the island to establish her residency and career. Summering here since birth, she happily planted full-time roots in 1997, following her graduation from the University of Connecticut. In 1998, Lesley began working with Sandpiper Realty where she gained invaluable skills and experience, and built an accomplished record of sales before taking ownership of the agency along with her sister and business partner, Courtney Marek, in 2011.

Her residential real estate sales knowledge is complemented by her building background, having worked as a project manager. Lesley holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License and is well-equipped to provide her agents and clients with considerable insight and expertise in all aspects of real estate.

Lesley is a corporator for Martha’s Vineyard Bank and had previously served on the on the Finance Committee for the Cape Cod and Island Association of Realtors, Inc., and the Multiple Listing Service, Inc. She has also been actively involved in her community as a volunteer with various organizations, most recently as treasurer for the Martha’s Vineyard Girls Hockey Boosters.

Lesley and her husband, a custom home builder, feel fortunate every day to live and raise their two children in such a picturesque place and tight-knit community.
