Linda Durrence grew up in the Northeast Georgia Mountains and came to Rabun County in 1964. She is a full time real estate agent who wakes up every morning “eager to pursue the career she loves”.
Linda has been licensed in Georgia since 1978 and in North Carolina since 1980. She is the Associate Broker in the RE/MAX of Rabun Sky Valley Office. Linda is a member of the Rabun County Board of Realtors and has served five times as president of that board. She also is a member of the Highlands-Cashiers Board of Realtors in North Carolina. Listings are placed in the Georgia Multiple Listing Service and the Highlands-Cashiers Multiple Listing Service. Linda is a very active member of the Georgia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She has served as Chairperson of several major GAR committees and is currently vice-chair of the Realtors Political Action Committee for the State of Georgia.

Linda joined the Ed Poss Real Estate team in 1990 (previously Poss - Century 21 but now Ed Poss - RE/MAX of Rabun) achieved Century 21’s highest award, CENTURION AGENT, for eighteen consecutive years. She was inducted into the National Century 21 MASTER’S HALL OF FAME in 1996. Linda was consistently recognized in the top producing group of Century 21 agents in the State of Georgia and was the #2 Century 21 agent in the State for numerous years. She was presented the Century 21 Poss Realty first annual HALL OF FAME AWARD in March, 2008.
Linda was chosen as the Rabun County REALTOR OF THE YEAR IN 2011 and has been nominated for the Georgia Realtor of the Year.
Linda attends seminars, educational classes and state and national Realtor meetings to keep current on real estate issues. She holds the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) and the new SRS (Seller’s Residential Specialist) designations.
Linda and her husband, Gary, live in Clayton. They are parents of two children, the late Chad Durrence & Kristen (husband, Jay Gill) who live in Carrollton. They have a grandson & granddaughter of whom they are so proud of. Gary & Linda are active in the Rabun County Community and are members of the Clayton Baptist Church. Linda is a supporter of the American Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Awareness programs and is a breast cancer survivor. She is a board member of the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund which assists cancer patients in Rabun County.
