I have worked with Lori on both the sale and the purchase of a home. Lori was very helpful on selling my property, she knew the market and potential buyers that were necessary for that property. When looking to purchase a home, Lori had many properties for me to look at that fit in my budget as well as location. I have not known Lori long, only about a year. But I have had a lot of dealings with her. Since I live out of atate, and the homes I have been selling are in Spencer, I think the very kindest thing I can say about Lori is that she has kept me in the loop constantly.There have been many phone calls back and forth, but always, everything works out. After deciding to relocate to the area over a year ago, I was given Lori's name by another realtor in the Lakes region. I had decided to look at property in Spencer during my home search. I shared with Lori my expectations in a new home and my price range. Lori was very respectful of that price range as well as finding homes that met my criteria. Lori is honest, is not afraid to point out the shortcomings along with the positives in a home and helps you put the emotional side of house hunting aside so that you can truly decide for yourself whether a home is the right fit for you. Lori Black is a new comer's dream. She shows houses through out all neighbourhoods, pointing out advantages and disadvantages depending on the clients needs. We asked her to take us through the gambit over a number of visits (from out of state) and she enthusiastically supported our curiosity all along the way. She connected us with structural professionals so we could buy our house with the best insight possible - and then employ a terrific contractor to carry out changes. Throughout our search she kept us up to date over the internet - greatly appreciated! She works with sellers - in our case everyone was happy with the negotiating process. After we arrived she welcomed us with a taste of local flavor. Since we've settled in she has remained an occasional acquaintance and that is so nice. We found Lori on the internet; we focused on local realtors v. national chains. She met our expectations and then some. We are most impressed with her willingness to meet us where we are... introducing us to the part of Spencer Iowa we most enjoy.
