We are Joel, Maggie, and Carmen, the family behind Cornerstone REHL Inc. Carmen immigrated to the United States as a teen and after completing high school (and working as a caretaker for her sponsor at the same time) she began the process of becoming a Real Estate Agent. Carmen wanted to help people primarily. That was her motivation for getting into Real Estate. In the early years of her career, she wasn’t happy with the way the industry treated its customers. Rushing them through the process to close the deal didn’t feel right or align with her values. Joel (Carmen’s son) experienced the same feelings years later as he began his career on the lending side. Convinced there was a better way to buy, sell, and finance homes, they built Cornerstone, setting out on a mission to unite real estate and home loans into a single journey: one straightforward process to help your family find a home. We have been helping California families buy and sell homes for nearly 20 years. Carmen is now entering retirement and preparing Maggie (Joel’s wife) to take over her side of the business. We have spent the last three years preparing for this change. Carmen is at peace with the transition. Maggie has a kind and patient heart that cares deeply for our clients. She also has the grit and integrity to fight for their best interests during negotiations.
