Maikol and Jaye Akintonde were absolutely awesome to work with. My overall experience with Akintonde Realty expanded my knowledgeable of appropriately screening potential tenants, their patience and constant communication allowed me a worry free transaction. The tenant they helped me find is awesome. They screened him well and he is exactly the type of tenant a landlord would want.
They handled everything for me as I am an out of state landlord. I did not have to lift a finger in the process.

They gave me options on how to write up my lease and how to handle lease payments. They are awesome and easy going and I'd recommend them to anyone looking to buy, sell, or rent their home.

Maikol provides the best customer service of any realtor I have worked with! I purchased a house from him and for several months afterwards, he would periodically check up on how the home owning process was going for me. He remembers birthdates and my children's names. His attention to detail is phenomenal! I decided to sell my house and went with another realtor-BIG MISTAKE! She had no where near the knowledge and no how that Maikol and Jaye (his assistant) has with everything real estate related. From purchasing to foreclosure and short sales they know it all. He took it upon himself to go measure doorways and hallways to make sure they were wide enough for a power wheelchair and a walker so we wouldn't waste time looking at homes that wouldn't work. Maikol Akintonde is without a doubt a real estate wizard!!! After a lengthy eviction, my lawyer notified me on September 5th that he had the keys to my house. Mr. Akintolde went that same day, picked up the keys, inspected and listed the house. By the end of the week, Mr. Akintonde had three offers for my house. As I write my review for the services Maikol Akintunde provided, I still have pure excitement in my heart for the new home my husband and I purchased last week. To tell you a little about our story, we started the home search in 2012 during our engagement. A friend referred us to a realtor that helped him find his first home. Unfortunately, my husband and I did not have a positive experience with this particular realtor. He was an experienced realtor who specialized in the downtown Chicago area; however, we were seeking real estate in the Woodlawn/Hyde Park area at the time. This particular realtor was slow to respond and seemed really indifferent toward our home search. We are an educated and professional young couple so we didn't understand why he seemed uninterested in us. We worked with him for about 2 years until we realized it was time to move on to a new realtor.

My co-worker kept telling about her realtor Maikol Akintunde. So I talked to my husband, and we decided to give Maikol a chance. From the first email I sent to Maikol, he was very quick to respond to emails and always professional. We gave him a description of the kind of home we were looking for and location. He sent us a list of homes to look at online and we were able to select a group of homes we wanted to view. The day we were scheduled to view these homes, Maikol had already gone on to view them and he even mapped out the order in which we would view the homes with the last home being closest to our apartment at the time. So, we didn’t have a long distance to drive home.

Our experience was speedy. We put an offer on our home December 2014 and closed January 2015. He would also call us periodically to check in on us, to see how we were doing during that time, and to see if we had any questions. If you want great service to what could be a potentially stressful process Maikol is your realtor. We highly recommend Maikol Akintunde.

I wanted Maikol to sell my 2400 sqft condominium and assist me in finding a new place to live. Not only was I an empty nester looking to downsize, I was under pressure to get it done in a short period of time. In less than six months the deal was sealed!. Miakol sold my property and I am moving into a beautiful townhouse that is the perfect size and suits my new lifestyle needs.

I have known Maikol for quite sometime now, but when my husband (fiance at the time) and I were looking into buying a home, using Maikol as our realtor didn't even cross our minds... at first. We had a long, drawn out, dead beat process with another realtor who took us to all of the places that SHE wanted to live. All of the places were near a body of water or had a pool or something else that we didn't really care for. We eventually grew tired of her and thought we had reached our "home visitation" limit. Maikol is excellent at what he does! From the very beginning I found him to be a great listener. He was very attentive to what I was looking for in a home. By giving him my list of wants he helped me to narrow down the neighborhood that would best accommodate my needs. He is very knowledgeable on the Chicago metropolitan area and the surrounding suburbs. He is also very knowledgeable on the home buying process and anything that he was unsure of he had a resource to contact to find out more. He was also very good at showing me only the homes that best fit my list- for instance- he was clear on what I didn't want in a home so he found out extra information on the units prior to the visit. If a unit had qualities I didn't want he made sure to let me know. This helped to not waste anyone's time throughout the search.

Another great skill that Maikol ha, that for me was very necessary, is that he is very responsive to calls, emails, and text messages to where he is able to communicate with his clients in a way that works best for them.

I found my starter home with Maikol, and i love it!. His calm demeanor helped lighten the stress a home buying process can create. I HIGHLY recommend him.
