Marcia lead us through the process of buying an investment property. We looked at and compared rents and operating expenses, we looked for the most favorable neighborhoods and went through check lists. She navigated us through the 1031 exchange process and we settled on a property that was recently updated with new flooring, new roof, refreshed with new windows, paint and stucco. It was also upgraded from a duplex to a triplex by the addition of a new ADU. Marcia also made sure we had the property inspected in addition to checking to make sure all new construction was properly permitted. Working with a professional that is trustworthy, friendly nonjudgmental and knowledgeable is a gift. Above all Marcia is a good person she will do her utmost to help you through the process of purchasing a new property or home. She cares and it shows in her work and approach. We could not be happier with her help and guidance.

This isn’t the first time I’ve used Marcia’s services and won’t be the last. The 2 unique aspects of this sale were the property type and location. The address of this home compares to the last a 50 mile difference and is a mobile home. Neither facts slowed Marcia down from being the perfect agent. Thank you so much. Marcia is AMAZING! She really knows her stuff. Very professional, knowledgable, straightforward, extremely helpful and patient in all aspects of a process that was initially daunting to me as the Trustee of my cousin's estate, as I had very little experience in the real estate market. For this reason I brought my friend Brenda with me, (who is quite the opposite of me in this regard) to the initial meeting with Marcia. We were both impressed. Throughout the entire process, from first meeting to the close of escrow, Marcia took her time explaining and answering the multitude of questions I posed.
She was always readily available via text, email or phone. There were many times when she made special trips out to the property to oversee workers, or pick up items and necessary supplies for me, saving me the 5 hour round trip from my home to my cousin's. One time, I purchased the required Smoke and Co Alarms and left them at the property for one of the workers to install. I put them in a VERY safe place so as not to lose them. Unfortunately, it was such a safe place, I couldn't remember where it was. The worker ended up having to purchase another set. Weeks later, when my "secret place" was discovered it was too late. Marcia was kind enough and thoughtful enough to return for me so I wasn't paying twice. The home was in Pine Valley, a beautiful location, but not always easy to find the experienced workers for the needed repairs, cleaning, hauling, inspecting, etc. And she did it! If she didn't know of someone in the area, she knew someone who did know of someone with a proven track record. Marcia has been in the business for sometime now and knows her stuff. She has quite a network.
She is one savvy business woman, a tough negotiator and serious about what she does with a warm friendly style and genuine sense of humor at just the right time.
I highly recommend Marcia Parkes.

Marcia was amazing! She always kept us up-to-date on everything and made the process go as smoothly as possible. There were a couple of hiccups that arose such as our original deal falling through but she was able to transition our home to another buyer. She also was extremely available/sweet on a Sunday evening when I was locked out of our home because of showings from earlier in the day, and she helped me get in to my home. She’s amazing! You won’t regret going with Marcia!

Marcia is beyond the best. I think my relationship with Marcia depicts the professional and person she is. I contacted her over ten years ago, after a family death necessitated a piece of East County property to be assessed and provide documentation. I contacted Marcia, not knowing anything about her and asked if she could assist me with this. She did. She asked for nothing in return. As I live in a different town, this started our "long distance" relationship of email correspondence related to selling that piece of property. She advised me for years on the state of the real estate market for rural property. Again, all for nothing.

We finally decided to list it TEN years after I initially contacted her. Who in business these days maintains that type of business ethics? She executed a sale and made it easy for me. A true professional and very decent person. I am beyond impressed with the honesty, knowledge and care she demonstrated towards me. Many, many thanks Marcia. Never could have been done without you.
