Beginning in 1979 in Winston Co. as a Broker she moved to Winfield in 1982 and opened a Branch office of Realty World. After meeting and marrying her competitor, contractor Phillip W. Ballard, lifelong resident of Winfield, together they opened Ballard Real Estate in February 1984.
