About Martin

I am not a native to Steamboat Springs. I was born and raised in Bulgaria (Eastern Europe) in a family with vary scarce resources but plenty of love. Upon my graduation of the University of Economics, Varna where I majored in Marketing and Management, I ceased the extraordinary opportunity that my life had offered me and I left for my dream country: the USA. So, in May 2000, I arrived in New York City filled with enthusiasm, enchanted by the large skyscrapers and with a $100 bill in my pocket. However, I had brought with me everything I needed. My past had taught me diligence in my work; my present had offered me the opportunity to follow my dreams.

A year later, in May 2001 I moved to Steamboat Springs with my wife, and I immediately fell in love with the friendly community and the magical beauty of the Yampa Valley. The famous curse: (Once a person visits the valley, he or she will forever be enchanted and compelled to return) got me, but for me it was not a “curse”, but a place to call home.

My whole life I have been working in the customer service and sales industry using my marketing and management knowledge from the University and building upon it from my everyday experience. I have learned how to identify people’s needs, and how to offer them the best of every situation. My life has taught me not to stray away form work, but to grasp every opportunity. My biggest satisfaction is my clients’ smile and for this beaming reward I would do anything.

In 2009, I was selected as a member of Leadership Steamboat, a year long educational program that fosters young professionals who become experts in Steamboat's Economy and Business.

I’m specializing in Residential Resort Real Estate as well as helping young couples and families through the process of getting happily involved with their first home.

In 2010 I obtained the Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) Designation from the National Association of Realtors, giving me the experience to professionally navigate this challenging process for my clients.

In 2011 I was awarded the Colorado Group Realty’s Rising Star of the Year Award.

Since 2013, I am one of the principal owners and partner at Colorado Group Realty.

In 2014, I earned the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation by the National Association of Realtors attending a specific, intensive series of a minimum of 100 hours of classroom instruction, covering a variety of subjects including: contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance, water issues and water rights, working with Buyers and Sellers, valuation and risk reduction.

The Colorado Group Realty “Most Transactions” award was presented to me in 2015

Homes.com Review

I initially contacted Martin Dragnev with questions about a house he had listed for sale. Normally, I would have relied on my buyer's agent realtor to look into it, but that person had not been very responsive for whatever reason, and my family was in a hurry to find a home. Martin impressed me with his knowledge of the area, as well as his understanding and clear explanation of the buying process. He seemed like such a valuable contact for us that I switched agents and worked with Martin Dragnev. We could not have been more pleased with this decision. His responses were always prompt--first to our request on what properties were available that met our needs, next with showing us those properties and helping narrowing down our choices by answering all our questions, and finally by negotiating honestly and effectively to get us a good deal on a great property in a way that also met our rather tight time requirement. I should also add that our transaction was a short sale, which has a multitude of additional steps, and Martin knew exactly what to do at each of these steps. He is very organized. I have already recommended him to one of my friends, and will continue to do so. Eric & Nati S., Steamboat Springs, CO - 4/11/15

Martin did a wonderful job of finding a townhouse for our family. He went out of his way several times for us, to assure we be getting the best deal possible. Scott & Krysta H., Steamboat Springs, CO - 10/21/15

Homes.com Review

Martin is very patient. He had great local knowledge, he was very responsive, he understood the market and was very easy to work with in Steamboat. We discussed lowering the price on my condo and he knew exactly where to place the price. He was helpful in removing some personal items from the condo and helped with getting them shipped back to me Pam B., Champaigne, IL - 5/21/16
