Mary Lou Bailey

Mary Lou, originally from Minnesota, attended Marquette University in Milwaukee before moving to Chicago and settling in suburban Winnetka to start a family. Even then, she actively engaged in community service organizations. However, in 1973, Mary Lou and her family were drawn to the allure of the Islands. By 1978, they had made Sanibel their home. Within a year, Mary Lou obtained her real estate license and dedicated her energy and enthusiasm to assisting both Buyers and Sellers in achieving their goals. In 1983, she furthered her career by acquiring her Broker's license and joining Priscilla Murphy Realty as a full-time Broker Associate. Over her 22-year tenure at PMR, she consistently provided her clients with dependable, attentive, and professional service.

From 2005 until mid-2009, Mary Lou worked at various real estate offices on the Island. However, in 2009, she seized the opportunity to join VIP Realty Group, recognizing its reputation for excellence and powerful marketing position as a promising career move. Her accomplishments at VIP Realty Group have earned her the prestigious title of the 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2018 VIP All Company Number One Agent, surpassing all other offices in Lee and Collier Counties.

Mary Lou is an active member of the Sanibel Captiva Association of Realtors, the Florida Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Throughout the years, she has held leadership positions at the local level, serving as a Director and participating in numerous committees. When not immersed in the real estate business, Mary Lou Bailey cherishes her life on Sanibel, describing it as the realization of a dream—to live and raise her family (including her dogs) on these enchanting Islands. As a full-time resident, she considers herself privileged to wholeheartedly engage in all aspects of the Island community's vibrant life!
