I don't even know where to start on all the wonderful things about Mary! She helped me buy my first home as a single mom back in 2004 and over the years, she has proved time and time again to be trusted, reliable, and thoughtful resource in all things real estate. Her knowledge of the industry and years of experience has translated into valuable, sage advice and guidance. Mary is always her clients biggest advocate, she has mentored me and helped me strategically grow from that single mom home owner into a profitable real estate investor. She has a creative spirit that is always looking for innovative ways to empower people become homeowners. One of the great things about Mary is she's solution focused and a calming, steadying force during a stressful emotional process. I really cannot say enough wonderful things about Mary as a real estate professional and as a human being. A friend once told me the most amazing story about a real estate agent who found this amazing property for her in her modest price range with her wish - a view of Mount Hood and the Willamette River. The story was fabulous and stuck with me. Years later I was having a casual, ho-hum experience with a real estate agent, and asked that friend to get me in touch with her realtor. I can't tell you enough amazing things about Mary. She helped materialize the house of my dreams. She asked me to make a list of all the details I wanted and to trust her. It was Mary's knowledge of the city and people, and my excitement she unleashed that fueled the end result. I lost the first two offers, but when MY house came on the market I instantly knew it was different. Mary was nearly magic, yet calm and methodical. I knew she had unleashed the possibility in me to align with my house. I know this all might sound ridiculous - but she truly is special. I fear the day she retires!

Mary is an incredible realtor! She is a tough negotiator and works so hard for you. Not only was she able to negotiate to get our seller to pay extra and fix some areas to the property before we moved in, she also did a market analysis for us for free when we were trying to get our private mortgage insurance removed. I highly recommend working with Mary!

I truly loved having Mary Mayther-Slac as my real estate agent! Her passion and drive, her intuitive style and refreshing forthcoming communication skills were vital in this home-finding process. Mary Mayther-Slac came recommended from a friend. Not only is she friendly, professional, and generally a wonderful person to be around, but she will GET YOU the house of your dreams. Mary is very intentional about asking clients to envision what they want in a home, and then working hard to ensure you get it. Mary moved what seemed like BIG mountains for us, did excellent at negotiating fair compromises between us and the seller, and had great recommendations on contractors and other services to get this home ready for move in. She approaches the client relationship as a team effort and Mary works hard for the team! I could not recommended Mary enough and will definitely recommend to all of my friends. We are currently living in our dream home- a quiet little cabin in the woods, and we have Mary to thank for that!

In the spring & summer of 2018 Mary Mayther Slac assisted me in selling & buying a condo. She was wonderful & patient from the start. Mary lead us through this process with pure professionalism until we found the condo that was perfect for us! She also sold our prior condo. Where do I start, I can not say enough good things about Mary and her help buying our first home. Personally, I was super nervous and had a ton of questions/concerns being a first time home buyer. Mary was extremely detailed and explained every step of the way. I never felt any pressure to select any of the homes when we went out shopping but once we found our dream home Mary was at the ready and helped get the deal done. There was never a moment stressful moment.

Mary is extremely knowledgeable about the different Portland neighborhoods and truly cares about her clients. More importantly Mary isn't looking for a quick sale. She truly wants the best for here clients and it shows.She got us in our dream house and we couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend Mary for any of your realtor needs.

Mary is one of the two best real estate agents I’ve had in my life. Her wonderful husband Gary is the other one. Mary cares about her clients dreams and happiness. I’ve never felt pressure to buy or sell, she just honestly wants to support you to reach your own unique real estate goals. You end up spending a lot of time with your real estate agent, so pick someone who is a joy to be around!

P.S.- One more thing is that she is great at staging. She once staged my house with what little furniture and decorations I had left in it after moving- I was so worried I would have to rent furniture just to sell my house but she made it all look so good I wished she was an interior decorator so I could hire her for that too. Honestly she is a wonderful human being.

Over the years I have purchased my personal home and 2 rentals from Mary.
The thing I like the most was that she listens to what I am looking for instead of trying to just sell a property. I also know that all paper works is done properly. No surprises.
