Matt grew up in a small town in Southwest Minnesota. He moved to Sioux Falls to attend college and there he received his associate’s degree. Sioux Falls was a perfect fit for Matt. He loved the small-town attitude of the community and the many opportunities it brought.

Matt plays several sports and participates in the men's basketball league. He also enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.
