About Matt

Matt is a Broker Associate with Herlong Sotheby’s International Realty.
Greenville is Matt’s hometown; he knows it like his own backyard, his own personal soccer field. A graduate of Mars Hill University with a B.A. in Business where he played soccer, and a second degree at Furman University in Health and Exercise Science Education. He has been with the company since May of 2019, and every year since he has been in the Presidents Circle, and 2024 the Chairman’s circle, for sales volume in the Greenville office. He is a member of The Furman Group, a team of 3 brokers committed to each other and the benefit of their client service.
Matt’s experience as an agent has touched all facets of the business. From buying and selling homes, land, new construction/building, development, townhomes, investment purchasing, he has experience in it all. Personally he and his family have done the same before getting into the business, now finally residing in the Gower/Parkins Mill neighborhood in Greenville. He is part of the New Development Team that has gone above and beyond for getting developments sold and to the finish line. He is also a member of Our Trusted Network of Sotheby’s International Realty, which consists of top agents in markets around the country and world.
Matt is married to Melissa, and they have three children. One in elementary, one in middle, and one in high school. Melissa also grew up in Greenville, and she owns Dear Lissie Photography. Outside of real estate, soccer has always been Matt’s passion. He has coached everything from club all the way up to NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s soccer. His commitment as a player and later as a coach has honed his expertise in communication, organization, analytics, attention to detail -- not to mention winning. Matt taught elementary Physical Education 2007-19, all while coaching. Matt knows what it means to be on the receiving end of “Division I” client service, and he delivers the same attentive, pro-active expertise for his clients. His coaching background really has been an asset in communication, expectations, and getting his clients to be clear on making the best fully informed decisions. Aside from working, you can generally find Matt watching one of his children playing their sports, at the gym, on a soccer field, cooking, or skiing. Matt is your “ Nocks Door Neighbor” –
