Maura and her team were very skilled in selling a distressed 2 family home that was well built in the 1920s, but not kept up to date consistently. Maura presented the house, focusing on its potential while also being transparent about the things that needed improvement. She also predicted very accurately what the sale price would be. I can't say enough about the excellent support, guidance, and astonishing responsiveness that we received from Maura!! If we could give her more stars, we would! She was able to quickly assess what interested us and gave us frank advice up front, which really appealed to me. Who do you trust to sell your childhood home, of 63 years, filled with loving and warm memories? Don’t fret because the answer is Maura Allard, a designated Seniors Real Estate Specialist.

Maura is an impressive Realtor. Not only is Maura knowledgeable and professional, she is kind and caring with such a pleasant personality.

Dealing with much emotions after Dad recently passed and the daunting task of sorting and cleaning Dad’s house, Maura listened to what was needed and offered assistance immediately.

All recommendations and references from Maura were excellent. A vendor was required to help with removing furniture as well as many items, another vendor was crucial in order to shred sensitive documents on site, and finally, a plumber was needed for advice and to fix a shower head. All of this could not have been accomplished without Maura and her network of reliable people.

Living out of state was an added challenge and Maura understood completely. Maura offered to check on the house every week and gather any mail that was not forwarded. In addition, Maura was also available for all required inspections or whenever access to the house was needed.

Maura understands the market and what is critical to prepare for the showings and open houses. It was comforting to know that Maura promised to always be present whenever the house was to be shown.

After the successful showings and open house, Maura organized all offers and made it easy to choose the desired buyer. The closing went smoothly because of all the details that Maura and her staff clearly communicated.

In conclusion, Maura went above and beyond to help get the best offer for Dad’s house. Maura was always a phone call away and promptly addressed any and all concerns. Getting through this emotional sale of my precious childhood home would not have been possible without Maura, an outstanding Realtor, who always works in your best interest.

We were introduced to Maura by our mortgage broker--a friend-of-a-friend that we met at a wedding. That introduction happed on January 13th. On March 5th, we closed on our new home. Here's how we got there, and why you should trust Maura when buying a home.

On January 15th, we had our initial meeting with Maura via Zoom. The goal was to discuss our wants: the type and size of house, our preferred locations, and any must (or mustn't) have features. The phrase "you don't know what you don't know" comes to mind. Maura asked probing questions that we had given only cursory or no thought to: city water or septic, oil or natural gas, garage versus basement or attic? By the end of this meeting, we had a solid picture of what we were looking for and Maura had her marching orders.

On January 23rd, we met with Maura to view four open houses. Three were her suggestions, and one was a house that we found on our own. The three that she picked each met everything on our checklist. The one that we cleverly found on our own was an immediate "no." The lesson here is to trust Maura's recommendations. She was more than happy to show us the property that we found ourselves, and it wasn't a complete waste of time: we learned some important lessons about foundation issues, cosmetic makeovers, etc.

We ultimately decided to put an offer in on one property and, relying on Maura's insight and market knowledge, revised and tailored our offer just prior to submission. The offer was accepted just a few hours later. We were floored. In a COVID market where sellers are staying put and buyers are pouring into the market, we were warned by family and friends that the odds were stacked against us. Maura counseled us on the difficulty of being a buyer in the present market, but also assured us that we were in good hands. She was right.

During our home inspection, Maura was happy to put us in contact with tradespeople that specialized in any issue that was flagged: someone to repoint a part of the chimney, a plumber to replace a shutoff valve, etc. Her professional network is a truly valuable resource.

Our experience, from intake to house tours to offer and acceptance paperwork, went so smoothly that we kept expecting unforeseen trouble to arise. It didn't...until the morning of closing. During our final walkthrough, we discovered that the seller had not left the house in the agreed-upon condition. Though we had impressed with Maura every step of the way, it wasn't until something went wrong that we truly appreciated her experience and counsel. Maura left closing to return to the house. She met with the seller, arranged a trash removal company, and stayed on-site while the work was completed. She coordinated with the listing agent to have funds set aside for the carpentry work, and she arranged a cleaning company to visit the following day. This was above-and-beyond service, but we suspect it is simply Maura's baseline.

We can't speak to Maura's skills as a listing agent but, if we ever decide to sell the house we just bought, our only call will be to her. When it comes to real estate transactions, we now trust her implicitly.

I am a big believer in reviews. It is a large part of my decision making process when seeking out a service provider. In the case of Maura Allard, I sincerely believe that words are not adequate to describe my experience. The level of service, knowledge, professionalism, as well as downright kindness and compassion that Ms. Allard provided is something that I have never experienced before in dealing with any industry professional. To say that I was impressed, is an understatement. To say that this review will do justice to the experience of working with Maura Allard, is also an understatement. Again, some things just can't be explained or put into words. They have to be experienced firsthand.

Maura doesn't just do "her job." She, through her understanding and love for what she does, immerses herself in not only her end of the buying and or selling process, but also the client's. Which after having recently gone this through somewhat harrowing experience with Maura, I have dubbed her "the client whisperer." A title that I do not bestow lightly. This woman more than earned it, along with my undying gratitude.

From the beginning Maura approached my rather complicated real estate situation with a positive, determined, "can do," I won't let you down attitude. She assured me from the very beginning that we were in a partnership relationship on this journey, and she never wavered from that promise. Needless to say, the end result from a rather complicated situation, was an absolute success. Beyond what I thought would be possible.

What I found by choosing Maura, was someone who wasn't just content to make a sale pitch, spout folksy platitudes, and then stand on the sidelines waiting to collect a commission check as the process played out. It was quite the opposite. From the start, she rolled up her sleeves, threw herself into the mix and didn't rest until the deal was done. No question was too trivial. No phone call, email or text went unanswered. No fear was left not comforted.

With Maura, I never once felt that it was just transactual. She is not someone who just talks the talk. She truly walks her talk, and for that, I will never cease to recommend, or rather shout her services to the masses.

In today's business climate, ESPECIALLY in today's business climate, it is rare to find what Maura Allard not only offers, but delivers.

I hope that anyone that reads this review has the opportunity to experience Maura's magic firsthand. I do not put forth these words of praise lightly. I can be somewhat of a hardened cynic. For someone to elicit such praise, is because it was truly earned.

I met Maura a number of years ago, actually quite serendipitously, and I couldn't be happier that I did. I have two specific and quite different situations that Maura helped guide me through.

A number of years ago, I was looking for an investment property, but had very specific requirements on the size, location, number of units, and type of place. Maura worked with me quite diligently over an extended time to find the right place; never rushing me, never getting frustrated as we looked at place after place, got outbid time after time, and had a number of potential places just not work out.
Eventually, I found the perfect place (for me, the perfect place was a fixer-upper with a lot of potential), and after many months of renovations, I have a great place with good tenants. Maura is helping me manage the property, which is another bonus to our relationship, as she's helped me avoid many pitfalls over the past few years.

Fast forward to fall of last year, I needed to purchase a new property, this time as my primary residence. Time was short, as I needed to move quickly, and began hammering Maura with houses that I wanted to see. We cranked through them, seeing many places in a very short time frame, discussing the pros and cons of each, and working strategically to put together offers. Ultimately, we had an accepted offer in about six weeks from when we started.

Maura is always available and accessible (and I do mean always), and I cherish the fact that with both of the situations I mentioned above, each with very different criteria, and wildly different timeframes and needs, Maura was able to help me find the perfect places. I have recommended her to everyone I know who is looking to buy or sell.

It is worth mentioning that Maura also has a wonderful network of people with whom who she works, should you need them; lender, insurance agent, lawyer; if you don't have one, you won't need to find one on your own.

I had been working with a realtor prior to Maura. She was a friend and we wanted to give her the business but it wasn't working out and after a couple months together we both concluded it was best if she helped me find someone else. Maura was that someone else. She was super motivated and helpful right from the start. She laid out all of the expectations, how to communicate, and did so with me practically daily. She helped me navigate roadblocks I had been previously unfamiliar with and guided me away from houses that probably would have been a very long uphill repair battle. We had just barely gotten started when Covid hit and I got furloughed. I continued looking, knowing that my employer would bring me back on, and at no point did Maura give up on me even though I was sort of in the wings waiting. The house I ended up purchasing was a house I had fallen in love with and was off the market within days. I was heartbroken.
