Melanie Spencer

Melanie has lived in Wilmington for over 25 years. As a small business owner, her local knowledge about the area and everything the Cape Fear Region has to offer is priceless. Alumni of UNCW, she and her husband Shawn Spencer, realized their life-long dream of owning their own local bike shop, Bike Cycles, in Mayfair, and over 14 years they have earned several small business awards including “Top 10 Best Bike shop in North Carolina”.

Melanie is very active in her community working with and participating in local events such as the Beach to Battleship triathlon, Masonboro.org and many athletic and charity events in the area.

When Melanie is not working with clients she can usually be found on a boat headed to Masonboro Island with her kids, biking around the beach for some exercise, or at the barn where she and her daughter ride horses.

Melanie truly exemplifies the Intracoastal Realty motto, “Experience the Exceptional” in all her business dealings. Her attention to detail, effective communication skills, caring demeanor and advocate for “all things local” offer huge advantages for her clients
