Melissa Ly served as my real state agent during the sale of my aging father's home, and since it was mine and my father's first time selling a property, I felt a bit anxious about the process. We approached Melissa about selling my dad's home as the new real state laws, which came into effect in the summer of 2024, were taking hold. From the start, Melissa was incredibly detailed and patient in explaining these new regulations and how they would impact my dad's home sale. She also offered practical suggestions to help make the house more appealing and went as far as helped clean, coordinated contractor repairs, and make the home ready to make the house more appealing to potential buyers.
Throughout the process, Melissa was proactive in keeping things on track, while also reassuring us during what was an emotional experience. In the end, we received a fair offer just days after a weekend of open house. Melissa coordinated with the buyer's agent seamlessly, helping to keep things moving without adding any unneccesary pressure. I just recently sold my rental home with Melissa Ly and she went fall out for me to get the best price for my house. We had a gas leaked and she noticed it right away before anyone's and called Natural gas to come and turned off the gas, mind you, it's 9pm and the weather was 30F, she waited outside the house until the gas man showed up to turn it off. She also provided us so much information regarding on the side jobs and contractors as we need. I was lucky to found her on Facebook to helped my family purchased the house in Virginia Beach while we were still in live and work in Nebraska. Ms. Melissa Ly is absolutely instrumental to our successful purchase and then sale of our residence in Virginia Beach during the 22-month span of our active-duty service. She helped us find and buy the residence within 45 days right before my deployment, so that I had peace of mind about the family's settlement in the area. Almost 2 years later, we packed up and moved again on orders. Melissa was by our side, helping us find the buyers in less than a week and sell the property within 45 days.
Throughout these complex processes, she and her team offered great advice and acted as a pragmatic sounding board. She was prompt in responses to any of our concerns. Her years of working as an award-winning agent guided us through the ups and downs of the buying and selling processes (though there were barely any in our transactions - again, thanks to Melissa's considerable experiece) and took us to the finish lines.

It was our first time buying a housebuy. Me and my husband have been applying for a mortgage loan in a bank but we always got denied. In our experience, that bank will not let you know how much your money can afford, so we just kept on waiting, until my colleague introduced me to Melissa. I told Melissa we only have some few money in our bank and some loans we are trying to pay off first, then we will apply again once they’re paid off. But she said we don’t need to wait for years because we will always have debts. Once one credit is done, another one will come- so it’s like you’re saying you’re not getting a house if you keep on waiting. That’s what she said. And it makes sense. So that very day we met, we submitted application and after a day or two, we found out that we can’t afford the amount we originally wanted, but we can get a house if we lower the budget. To cut the long story short, we finally got the house.

It wasn’t a smooth ride ending up with the house. But having Melissa on our side made everything easy. Me and my husband both work in the medical field. He works night shift and I work day shift. Melissa adjusted herself to our “abnormal” schedules whenever we do house tour, when we need to meet, etc. She responded to our texts, calls and emails even in the middle of the night. A lot of times we lost hopes finding a house during those crazy seller’s market times, however, she’s like a big sister to us who gave encouragements and lifted our spirits back on track.

Melissa, I know, I cannot repay you enough for everything you’ve done. Your commission is not even enough for everything. But you are right, in the end, it is the fulfillment that you helped someone that matters. Just exactly how I feel whenever I discharge my patients knowing that they are better compared to when how sick when they came.
