Melissa's deep roots in New England can be traced back to the 1700s through her family's farm, where Melissa fell in love with animals. She raised all the traditional farm animals and brought several to fairs for show! After attending the University of New Hampshire for veterinary medicine, her career path took a sharp turn into the restaurant industry and then into a sales and marketing position for Magic Hat Brewery in Burlington, VT. Melissa's past careers have brought her all over New England several times over, but she has always been drawn to the waters of New Hampshire and Maine. Once settled in Eliot, she knew she needed to get back to what she loved - caring for animals. She organically grew a dog daycare and boarding business. With the help of her husband Tom, they continue to operate K9 Lane in Eliot. Tom urged Melissa to earn her Real Estate license after they bought and renovated their own fixer-upper because "with the personal experience of buying a home and gutting home and the amount of time she spent watching HGTV and hunting on Pinterest for the perfect paint colors, she should be out in the world living it with others!" Melissa has been an active member of Eliot's Planning Board since 2010 and helped craft several ordinances that the community supported. Her background in hospitality, entrepreneurial spirit, flair for fun, and intimate knowledge of the Seacoast are the ultimate culmination of strengths for her clients. When Melissa isn't tracking down the perfect home for her clients, she is laughing with her two boys, tending her beehives, weeding the garden, playing with dogs, and taking an art class She offers her clients seasoned knowledge of the real estate in the area. Her local know-how and involvement will help you make the best possible decision for yourself. Melissa’s love for real estate will certainly be to your advantage. She understands how tricky the voyage of real estate can be for both buyers and sellers.
