Licensed since 2004, Melissa’s career spanned different aspects of real estate affording her
broad expertise, from rental to home purchases and sales, and relocation. She learned
every aspect of the business as assistant to the executive team at ABODA (formerly
Northwest Suites), before transitioning to the rental assistance department. Upon obtaining
her Managing Broker’s license, Melissa began building ABODA Real Estate, a branch within
the corporate housing company. In 2007, she pursued a full-time career with ZipRealty
working with many buyers and sellers in the Puget Sound area. Melissa fell in love with the
real estate process and assisting clients, and joined Excel Real Estate Experts in 2013 to
serve her local community.
She additionally holds the role as leader of the team, helping agents fulfill their personal
career goals while optimizing client service. Plus she received a designation as a Certified
Home Staging Professional in 2017 with the opening of the team’s full-service staging
company, Northwest Signature Staging, enabling her to optimize the presentation and

Born in Tacoma, Washington, Melissa was raised in Salem, Oregon but returned to Tacoma
for college. She holds a BA in Business degree with a minor in Psychology from the
University of Puget Sound. Since 2006, Melissa has lived in Maple Valley where she raised
her two daughters, who play competitive soccer. She has a hobby farm with pigs and
chickens, a livestock guardian dog named Billie, a mini Bernedoodle named Maple, and a
house cat named Leo.
