Melody was great from day one. Relocating to the area, with no friends or family here, my wife and I had very little information about who/what/where for anything. The internet does not give you the insider details - Melody quickly became our go-to resource for anything we needed to know. We looked at houses all over, from Candler to Fairview. Weaverville to Lake Lure. She helped us find houses, identify pros and cons, where the closest grocery or shopping was, and the general vibe for each area. Melody was responsive and accommodating every step of the way. Even when procuring documentation needed or inquiries.
And it wasn't about how much she could get us to spend (not commission driven) - It was always about ensuring we would be comfortable with our decision without overspending on a house. Very important in this crazy real estate market here!
We HIGHLY recommend Melody to anyone looking for an agent - relocating or not.

Melody was really great to work with, and she wasn’t even my agent! She represented the sellers of a home I purchased, and she went out of her way to get our deal done in a friendly and professional manner. Not only did she take care of all the normal things, she also took care of all the little things and still found time to leave me a bottle of champagne and a few other goodies to congratulate me on my new home purchase. I’ve done many real estate closings over the years, and this was a first for me. I would definitely recommend Melody to anyone who needs an agent, whether you’re looking to buy or to sell.

What a joy it was to work with Melody! When working with a realtor, I look for a professional that is with me every step of the way. My home was a get-a-way lake house so I wasn’t always there. Melody Hinkle is great! My husband and I purchased our first home in NC with Melody by our side. She goes above and beyond. When she is the buyers agent....she is really " working for you". Making sure you as buyers feel comfortable at your price range and never pushes the buyer. I met Melody where I work, and just meshed with her immediately. I went with "my gut" and never looked back. Our whole experience with Melody was very professional but not "stuffy". We would definitely use her again, although this house was our "down size ranch"!. Never say never though.
